N.K.Bagrodia Public School celebrated the United Nations Day


N.K.Bagrodia Public School celebrated the United Nations Day on October 24,2016. The school conducted its very first Intra School Inter House Model United Nations .The two Committees taken for the Session UNICEF and UNCSW. The Agenda for committee 1 was “The Right to Safe Water And Sanitation” and the agenda for committee 2 was “The elimination And Prevention of All Forms of Violence Against Women And Girls”. There were around 24 countries represented by the delegates in both the Committees. The MUN Session was inaugurated with the Lighting of the Lamp in an Opening Ceremony. The Deputy Secretary General shared her thoughts regarding the issues to be discussed in both the committees in her speech. The Secretary General with his best wishes declared the meet open.

The Young delegates put in their best of the discussions and Debate possible. The leaders representing various countries shared the best of the solutions of the discussed problems prevailing across the globe. The Closing Ceremony was graced by Ms Anna Uggla, Councilor, Political Affairs ,Sweden Embassy. The students presented a series of Program like a speech in English highlighting the significance of United Nations. A PowerPoint Presentation giving an insight into the beautiful country Sweden. The students presented a melodious UN Song giving the message of World Peace. The chief Guest gave away the prizes to the Best Delegate and High Commendation of both Committees. The chief Guest congratulated the efforts of the delegates and the members of the Executive Board for conducting the sessions excellently. She stressed on students to imbibe the ethics and lessons of UN to have a global peace. The Principal of the school presented the Vote of Thanks to the entire MUN Team of the school for the Sessions and insisted on following the working of United Nations. She gave away the Painting of Lord Ganesha as a gesture of love on the Ocassion of festival of Light to the Chief guest . The Ceremony concluded with the National anthem and the group photograph. This MUN Session proved to be a milestone in teaching the young lot regarding the functioning of the United Nations.
