Greenlco Eco Foundation celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June 2016 in Dwarka . Thousands of cycle enthusiasts thronged the event while the others came to cheer the participants.
The cycling event was flagged off at seven in the morning from Sector 13 B, covering a distance of 11.7 km. and proceeded towards Sectors 17, 18, 19, 10, 6, 5, 11 then, back to the finishing line at 13 B, Central Park.

The main event of cycling was divided in two categories- junior and seniors. The junior round was for only 2.5 Km. Delhi Traffic Police gave a small presentation on importance of traffic rules. Delhi Metro participated by making cycles available to participants who wanted to cycle.
Greenlco Eco Foundation has been engaged in generating awareness about various environmental issues in schools, colleges, office, market places and residential areas for the past 4 years. The campaign ‘care for DELHI air’ has always been a priority since then.

Greenothon succeeded in spreading awareness; motivating youngsters to ride bicycles to reduce air pollution. The people also wrote messages and pledged to cycle. Cycle Federation of India supported the cause. The programme was powered by Fiem industries Pvt. Ltd. and co-sponsored by Ashok Cycle Works and Sandhya Garments.
This was followed by distribution of plants to the participants by Delhi Parks and Gardens Society NCT of Delhi. Greenlco Eco Foundation plans to carry forward this movement to all parts of Delhi.
