Dr. Ambedkar Samajik Chetna Manch, Dwarka (Regd.) celebrated 59th Death Anniversary of great humanist and architect of Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as Mahaparinirman Divas on 6 December 2015 at Rajapuri Chowk, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Hundreds of people of Dwarka sub-city and adjoining areas payed rich floral tributes to Baba Saheb on this occasion. Various speakers expressed their views on the relevance of thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar in the present context. Dr. Des Raj stressed upon the need to preserve the treasure of Constitution and it's proper implementation. Dr. Satnarayan Gautam explained the contribution of Baba Saheb for empowerment of women and pledged to set up Memorial in Dwarka sub-city in his memory. Social thinker Shri Raghuvir Sagar attacked the political leadership for ignoring the ideals and thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar by repeatedly violating the provisions of the Constitution. Social activist Shri Mohan Das Nemishroy warned against the frivolous literature being published on Dalit movement and stressed upon to follow the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar directly. Shri Soren questioned the role of various social organizations and stated that they do not follow what they preach. The people gathered on this occasion raised the slogans like "Baba Saheb Amar Rahe" and "Baba Saheb tera mission adhura ham sab milkar karege pura”" repeatedly. At the end, the President of the Manch Shri Kishori Lal highlighted the activities of the Manch and introduced his team members to the people gathered there. He appealed to the people to remain united and fight for their constitutional rights will full force. Prasad was distributed to all the people gathered on the occasion. The programme concluded at 12:30 p.m.
