On the 84th Birth Anniversary of the Missile Man, People’s President, Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Bal Bhavan International School, in association with Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) decided to pay a well-deserved rich tribute to the departed soul. His love for teaching has been veiled to no one. Consequently, this day, 15 October, has been announced World Students’ Day by the U.N.O.
In homage to the Missile Man, FANS & BBIS cater to young aspirations from well esteemed schools of Delhi-NCR where more than a 3,000 students participated. To name a few, Maxfort School, Saraswati Model School, Adarsh World School, Mudgil Public School, N.K Bagrodia School and MRV School witnessed the event.
Commencement of the programme was done with Lamp Lighting by the distinguished guests from Ministry and members of FANS & school management. Sh. Indresh Kumar, Margdarshak FANS, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for PMO, Sh. P. S. Gill, former DGP Punjab, Naveen Kumar Chairman Organising Committe, Smt. Meena Gupta Mgt Member BBIS, Mr. Deepesh Gupta, Manager Bal Bhavan group of schools, Principal, Kunal Gupta and Vice Prinicipal, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur graced the occasion.
A colourful cultural programme was organized by the Bal Bhavan Parivar, in which the major attraction was the Nritya Natikaa ‘Mai Hoon Kalam’ illustrating the four stages of Kalam’s journey of life.
Sh. Indresh Kumar Ji shared his views about the transcendence philosophy of this extraordinary man, who had a great vision for India and worked tirelessly for it. In his speech, he reminded the youth to learn to live entire life with humility which will lead to success. A strong message, looking back his last, from a man, who only thought of the country's progress, who cherished the youth as the hope of the future!
Dr. Jatinder Singh also motivated the audience through his inspirational address, where he emphasized on Kalam as a teacher and on his teachings. He stressed on the noble profession which gives shape to the dreams of youth. Only the teacher’s pain can ignite the student’s mind to achieve success.
The function was highly acclaimed by the chief guest and guest of honours. Students took pledge that they will abide to Kalam’s teachings which will always inspire and motivate to do constant hard work without worrying about circumstances.
