Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School, Mohan Garden, New Delhi organized it’s Annual Sports and Cultural Fest at the sports ground of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT) to-day. Dronacharya Awardee Padam Shree Mahabali Satpalji was the Chief Guest of the function. Other dignitaries who graced the function were Mrs. Kamlesh Bains, EO Zone-18, Dr. Balesh Kumari Vijyanan, DEO Zone – 18 and Dr. Rekha Katoch, SPE Zone-18. The Chief Guest along with other dignitaries inaugurated the function by lightening of lamp.
Office bearers of Managing Committee of the school V.P. Tandon, Mrs. Vandana Tandon, Harsh Tandon and Smt. Akansha Tandon accorded a warm welcome with bouquets and mementos to the guest. Vice-Chairman of Kamal Group of schools Mr. Harsh Tandon welcome the guest and parents and elaborated the pride achievements of the school so far. He appealed the gathering to extend their helping hands and thoughts to keep this program continue. With the declaration of sports meet open by the Chief Guest the torch of the event was lighted and the players pledged to give fair and disciplined performances. In his address Mahabali Satpalji advised the parents to change their outlook towards sports. He considered the sports as an integral part of day to day affairs of a student.
On this auspicious occasion, the meritorious students of academic session 2013-14 were honourd for their outstanding performances in the scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The students of pre-school, pre-primary and primary wings brought a smile on the faces of the spectators with childish, entertaining efforts put in their races. Ganesh Stuti and difficult asanas of yoga skillfully performed by the students on melodious tunes were the main attraction of the cultural function. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Vandana Tandon, Principal, Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School. She thanked the guests to spare their valuable time for the function and credited the parents, teachers and students for their untiring efforts to make the event a great success.
