Sri Venkateshwar International School bags the RECESS trophy for the Second consecutive year

Sri VIS, Sector 18, Dwarka won the top honours at Recess; an initiative of Child reach International India for the second year in succession on November 23, 2012.

The theme of Recess 2012 was - Ek Kahani Dance Ki Zubani -dedicated to the girl child. It showcased the theme through the nimble- footed dancers who brought the poignant message to the fore through this interface.

The grand finale witnessed top nine schools compete for the top positions at FICCI Golden Jubilee Auditorium. The event was judged by eminent dancers, social activists, educationists and theatre personalities. Mr. Firoz Patel- Founder CEO of Childreach presided.

The performance of Sri Venkateshwarites received a standing ovation; leaving the audience mesmerised and contemplative at the same time through the sheer choreography and expression of the lithe dancers.

They entranced the audience through their unique presentation and energy level which was applauded by the judges. The graphical backdrop set up by the PowerPoint made everyone take notice which was reiterated by the message conveyed. Helping make a difference put the cheer in the eyes of Sri Venkateshwarites and the win made them stronger willed to continue working for social causes.

Childreach International India is a development organization that empowers children across India to achieve their right to education, healthcare, protection and prepares them to grow as sensitized and responsible leaders of tomorrow who facilitate social change. The win reaffirmed the commitment of SVIS to work in domains leading to the awakening of the consciousness.
