Apeejay Education Society is going to celebrate the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul on 23rd November 2012 (Friday) at the Main Sirifort Auditorium, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi, between 4 pm and 8 pm.
Eminent artist Mr. Shekhar Sen will pay tribute to Dr. Stya Paul by performing a monologue play on Sant Kabir, one of the greatest Sufi poet-philosophers of India, who inspired Dr. Stya Paul throughout his life’s journey.
Virju Maharaj, well-known exponent of Kathak; recipient of Sangeet Natak Academy Award, Padma Vibhushan, Kalidas Samman, Soviet Land Nehru Award, SNA Award, Saga Kala Award, Major H. P. S. Ahluwalia, Chairman of the Rehabilitation Council of India and is a recipient of several awards like Padma Sri, Arjuna award, the National Award for the best work done in the field of Disability, the Order of the Khalsa (Nissan A Khalsa) are the eminent dignitaries who will be present in the event.

Shekhar Sen is a name today who has proved himself as a talented singer, music, composer, lyricist and actor. Born and bought up in a Bengali family of Raipur Chhattisgarh, he was for fortunate to learn music from his parents late. Dr. Arun Kumar Sen & late DR. Aneeta Sen renowned classical singers of Gwalior Gharana & Musicologists. Shekhar established himself as a singer with a different style by singing the medieval poets like Raskhan, Raheem, Lalitkishori, Bhooshan Bihari & many more.
