Next President of India !

While some names are going around for the last many days for the selection or election of the most deserving candidate for the post of next President of India, I feel that two more great men should also be better explored for the first citizen of India, i.e. Shri Somnath Chatterjee, former Speaker of Lok Sabha and Shri T.N. Seshan, former Chief Election Commissioner of India.

Both these veterans are quite mature and seasoned leaders and are really worthy of awarding them with the highest post in the Government of India; since both have already proved their mettle working in their respective fields for many decades, without any black spot on their fare name, controversy / inclination or favouritism shown to any political party or apolitical outfit.

Hence, I feel that all the the big parties (particularly - the Congress, BJP, BSP and SP) should take some pains to sit together with an open mind and discuss this proposal somewhat seriously so that one the above mentioned two leaders emerges as a consensus candidate to be made the next President of India.
