Now, Shri Narmadeshwar Prasad, Dy. Director, Rajya Sabha Secretariat has replied that these “
do not have any assurance”. Reply to the letter delivered on 11.1.2012 from Mrs. Menka Gandhi, Chairperson, Committee on Govt. Assurances (Lok Sabha) is awaited. The replies to our letter from various authorities have either not been received or we have been intimated that these were forwarded to DDA with the remark of taking appropriate action. The Cabinet Secretariat (Dir. Of Public Grievances) on 6.1.2009 has recommended to the Secy. Min. of Urban Development “
to investigate into the matter and issue appropriate direction for allotment of land to these wait listed applicants at the earliest” but Mr. Rahul Gupta told that he has not received any reply on the decision taken on his representations. Many applicants have left this world waiting for getting allotments. If the results of all the exercises can be put up in one sentence, that will be “DDA and other authorities are aloof to our problem.”
3. DDA is still parroting to allot undeveloped plots despite the fact that the DDA has not developed Sector 27 wherein plots were allotted in 2004 even after taking full payment from the allottees and therefore, they are unable to reside there. There are some other sectors also which are awaiting development even after five or more years. Shri Rahul Gupta told that on pressing to decide the contempt petition against the DDA for not fulfilling its commitments, the Court has dismissed the contempt petition even after issuing the notice to the DDA and before getting any response from the DDA. In 1999, DDA has unilaterally reduced the sizes of plots from 48 metres to 30 and from 90 mtr. to 60 without taking approval from the competent authority.
4. This is a clarion call to all the members for rising to the occasion for getting their long overdue.
Our demands:a. Allot plots to all the remaining registrants immediately.
b. Before taking the full payment, the area should be developed by providing basic infrastructure and at the earliest.
c. The plots should be provided on litigation free land.
d. Restore the original size of plots as applied for.
We hope that the registrants will attend the meeting in large number.
Yours,
