Now Sunil Agnihotri, in his fantasy drama ‘KAHANI CHANDRAKANTA KI,’ inspired by babu Devki Nandan Khatri’s CHANDRAKANTA SANTITI, is once again bringing back to life those super successful characters of princess Chandrakanta, Kroor Singh, Pundit Jagannath, Badrinath etc under the banner of Sunil Agnihotri Production. In this series too Chandrakanta is played by Shikha Swaroop. Vindu Dara Singh is playing the character of Abhimanyu while Pundit Jagannath is portrayed by Rajendra Gupta. Puneet Issar will be seen in the character of Shiv Dutt, Mamik as Badrinath, Kruttika Desai will be Naintara, Rupa Ganguly as Roopmati, Raja Chaudhary will be seen as Tej Singh, Nishigangha Wad plays Kalavati, Santosh Shukla as Virendra Singh, Sonia Rakkar as Padmini, Vinod Kapoor as Chandi and Shailendra Singh plays Kroor Singh. Besides Chandrakanta, Sunil is bringing two more serials on Sahara One of different genre within the first half of 2011. It will be shot in Manali for its breathtaking locations and will take the viewers back into another decade. “In any case, I always prefer to shoot at actual outdoor locations instead of trying to create fake sets in Mumbai. Sets can never infuse the exhilarating life shot into the visual like the actual locations. Laut Aayi Noori will transport the viewers to actual Himalyans.”
