An inter-college festival to promote hidden talent of college students
Apeejay School of Management and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication jointly organized their annual inter-college cultural festival “Synergy 2010-11” on November 18 & 19, 2010 at the Apeejay Dwarka campus. The fest was an everlasting endeavor to inculcate world-class competencies providing a platform to students for exploring and showcasing their budding and hidden talents. The fest was open for all colleges in various categories. The program commenced with lamp lighting by Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management along with Mr. Tarun Arora, MD, National Credit and Capital Business and Mr Ashok Ogra, Director of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication.
The key attractions of November 18 were sports- Tug of war, Short Put, Sack Race and 3 leg race, business quiz, extempore, face painting, street play, laughter challenge, photography, Dumb Charades, Nach Baliye, Collage making, etc and November 19 comprised of Ad mad show, RJ Hunt, Fashion Show and Mr. & Ms. Synergy contest, Couple and Group Dance, etc. Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh and Ms. Apurva Anugreh from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication bagged the titles of Mr. & Ms. Synergy 2010-11 respectively. This cultural extravaganza portrayed a cultural blend as students from various different institutes showcased their talents along with the Apeejay students. The chief guest for the second day was Ms. Lavlin Thadani who is an eminent filmmaker, poet, writer and an actor.
Students from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Era Business School, IIHMR Institute of Health Management Research, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies, Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies, JIMS Rohini, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management Studies and Research, among others participated in the fest.
“The objective of such festivals is to provide an opportunity to the students to come out of the four walls of the classrooms and display their skills and abilities. The inter-college competitions are a medium for the students to teach and learn from one another. Such activities are a must as they boost the confidence of the students and prepare them for the competitive world outside,” said Mr. Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management.
