Mr. Jagdish Mukhi has said that he will solve the water problem of the area in a year even if the U.P. or Haryana do not release more water by bringing down the water loss down to 10% from the existing 55%. He was speaking at the public meeting on 29.4.09 as Som Vihar Apptt at Sector 6, Dwarka.
He alleged of a scam of crores of rupees in the privatization of electricity. He said that this has been confirmed by the C&AG and the CAG of Delhi has also confirmed this. Mr. Mukhi demanded a CBI inquiry into the scam and said that because of this, the Delhi govt. is unable to check the distcoms which are terrorizing the residents by conducting raids on one pretext or the other. On the contrary, the Delhi Govt has provided the CISF as a special task force to these companies. The electric meters are also running fast up to 250 per cent. And informed that after coming to power at the Centre, Govt. will review the conditions of privatization. He also criticized the present govt for the rise in prices and unemployment. He said that as a Finance Minister of Delhi, he ordered the stoppage the lotteries in Delhi despite the threats from the lottery Mafia. After getting elected, he will ensure that consumption of wine is not increased by taking desirous steps.
On this occasion, Mr. Rajesh Gehlot, Councilloer said that he is trying for a Community Centre of the increased size of about 2000 sq. meter in every sector of Dwarka. Mr. Gehlot, also a member of DDA informed that the DDA has removed the condition of five year old Association for applying the plot of the temple in Dwarka. Mr. Gehlot stated that the management of water should be transferred to the Delhi Jal Board.
