Dwarka Court has become the legal solution for the residents of South West Delhi. It was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Justice of India Sh. K.G. Balakrishanan on6th September 2008. According to reliable sources of Dwarka Court, presently there are 45 courts in operation. It has a unique family Court which is also the Head Quarter of Delhi. It deals the family related disputes matters. Ms. Deepa Sharma is the Principal Judge of the said court located in Wing C, Room No.307.

Apart from the said court, Special Court Narcotics(NDPS), Two Motor Accidents Claim Tribunal (MACT), two special C.B.I. Courts, Special Electricity Court, three Additional Judge courts, thirty Magistrate Courts out which three traffic courts, one Municipality Court(MCD). The whole complex is divided in three wings namely Court complex block, admin block and lawyers block.

The complex has public utility facilities like bank, Post Office etc. and has local lock up and police post. The Dwarka court is handling the cases of South West Districts only. The complex has Delhi Legal Services Authority cell. There is a provision of free legal assistance cell for the poor people who are unable to afford the lawyers fee. There are two facilitation centres from where any one can avail information personally or at the helpline no. 28042850-7 from 10A.M. to 5 P.M. on all working days.

हम भारत के लोग भारत का सर्वांगीण विकास चाहते हैं, तभी गणतंत्रात्मक व्यवस्था में विश्वास करते हुए जन प्रतिनिधियों का चुनाव कर उसके हाथ में देश की बागडोर सौंप देते हैं। ऐसा इसलिए ताकि राष्ट्र का चहुमुखी विकास सामाजिक, आर्थिक व वैधानिक संतुलन के साथ हो सके हो सके। इसी उम्मीद के साथ देशवासी अपने कत्र्तव्यों का पालन करते हुए सरकार की गतिविधियों की ओर ताकते रहते हैं, परंतु इन सकारात्मक उम्मीदों के बदले मिलने वाले परिणाम चैकने वाले होते हैं। किंतु ऐसा लगता है कि देश में विकास और जीवन के बीच कोई सामन्जस्य ही नहीं। मन में सैकड़ों प्रश्न क्रौंधने लगते हैं, जैसे क्या हो रहा है? हम किस दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहे हैं? वैसे तो हम जानते ही हैं की घोटालों और अपराधों का बोलबाला है। मंत्री हो या संतरी सब मौका मिलते ही करोड़ों-करोड़ों रुपए निवाले की तरह निगलने में देर नहीं लगाते।

यहाँ हम विषयांतर नहीं होना चाहते हैं। हम आपका ध्यान देश के सरकारी नीतिगत अव्यवस्था की ओर आकर्षित करना चाहते हैं। एक प्रतिष्ठित दैनिक में प्रकाशित ख़बर कि भारत सुपर कम्प्यूटर बनाने वाले देशों की दौड़ में शामिल हो गया है। प्रकाशित अंश कि ‘‘आज से पचीस साल पहले अपना पहला सुपर कम्प्यूटर बना लेने के बावजूद भारत इस दौर में अपने पड़ोसी चीन से काफी पीछे रह गया है। भारत सरकार ने एक बार फिर इस कार्यक्रम को गति देने का फैसला किया है और सुपर कम्प्यूटर निर्माण एवं शोध परियोजना के लिए पाँच हजार करोड़ रुपए की भारी भरकम राशि मंजूर की है। देश में किसी शोध परियोजना पर खर्च की जाने वाली यह अब तक की सबसे बारी राशि है। पहले दो साल में पेटा स्केल क्षमता पाने के लिए पाँच हजार करोड़ रुपए एकसा स्केल क्षमता हासिल करने खर्च होंगे।’’

वस्तुतः विज्ञान युग को हम बौद्धिक लोग समझते हैं। वैज्ञानिक विकास की सराहना भी करते हैं तथा सरकार की इस विकसवादी नीति से कोई गुरेज नहीं पर यह भी सोचना होगा की विकास की प्रक्रिया असंतुलित न हो। एकतरफा न हो। दुखद न हो परंतु पीड़ा के साथ स्वीकारना पड़ेगा कि वास्तव में ऐसा ही है जान पड़ता है। एक दैनिक पत्र हिंदुस्तान तरीख 28 जनवरी को प्रकाशित समाचार की ओर ध्यान आकर्षित करे तो जान पाते हैं कि ‘‘बढ़ती लागत, घटती आमदनी और कर्ज किसानों के आत्महत्या के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।’’ शीर्षक - ‘‘हर घंटे दो किसान दे रहे हैं जान” ने हमारी आत्मा को झकझोर दिया है। जिस देश को किसानों का देश कहा जाता है। जिसके उपजाए अन्न खाकर ही हम सुपर कम्प्यूटर चलाएँगे, वे ही अभाव व त्रासद से अपनी स्वयं की इहलीला समाप्त कर रहे हैं। धिक्कार है। रिपोर्ताज में हरकिशन शर्मा लिखते हैं कि ‘‘हालत का अंदाजा महज इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है की हर घंटे दो किसान आत्महत्या कर रहे हैं। इससे भी ज्यादा चिंताजनक बात यह है कि इस संख्या से करीब चार गुना ज्यादा किसान आत्महत्या की कोशिश करते हैं।

वास्तव में ऐसी स्थिति उन नीति निर्माता की अदूरदर्शिता, शोषक व भावना शून्य राजनीतिक तानाशाहों की देन है, जिनके घरों में कुत्ते भी दूध पीकर वातानुकूलित वाहनों पर घूमने का सौभाग्य पाते हैं। देश में महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, आंध्रप्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश तथा उत्तर प्रदेश में हजारों किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है। इन किसानों की ऐसी स्थिति के लिए केंद्र व राज्य सरकार दोनों ही जिम्मेदार हैं। दोनों ही उनके प्रतिनिधि हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश में करोड़ों-करोड़ों रुपए पार्कों व नेताओं की मूर्तियाँ बनाने में लगाई गईं परंतु उन्हीं खज़ानों में से वहाँ के 548 किसानों को सुविधा देकर आत्महत्या करने से नहीं बचाया जा सका। किसानों की ऐसी स्थिति का अकड़ा राष्ट्रिय अपराध रिकार्ड ब्यूरो (एन.सी.ई.आर.बी) से सहज लिया जा सकता है। इसकी वर्तमान सांख्यकीय आंकड़ों के मुताबिक देशभर में वर्ष 2010 में 15,964 (पंद्रह हजार नौ सौ चौसठ) किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है।

कहने की आवश्यकता नहीं की आम जनता यह जानती है कि ऐसे आंकड़े कम कर ही पेश किए जाते हैं, जिसे वैधानिक तौरपर साबित कर कहना आम लोगों के बूते से बाहर की बात होती है। जो भी हो स्थिति भयावह है। दुखद व चिंतनीय है। हमारा अन्नदाता अभाव से पीडि़त हो चुपचाप मौत को गले लगा रहा है। किसी से कुछ नहीं कह रहा है। पर इतना तो जरूर है कि सुपर कम्प्यूटर की दौड़ में हमें हमारा दूसरा चेहरा दिखा रहा है। हम यह भी मानते हैं की देश तरक्की कर रहा है। आय के स्रोत बढ़ रहे हैं, प्रतिव्यक्ति आय भी बढ़ी है, उद्योग का विकास भी हुआ है पर हमें यह नहीं भूलना होगा की घोटाला व भ्रष्टाचार का बाज़ार भी गरम हुआ है। हजारों करोड़ों का घोटाला आज आम बात है। पूंजीपति और भी पूंजीपति हो रहे हैं, उनका साम्राज्य बड़ा होता जा रहा है।

समाज का आर्थिक वर्गीकरण हो गया है। धन की शक्ति के बल पर लोकतन्त्र प्रभावित किए जा रहे हैं। तभी तो वर्तमान मे कई राज्यों में हो रहे चुनाव में बड़ी मात्र में अवैध धन पकड़े जा रहे हैं। चुनाव आयोग ने अब तक 42.78 करोड़ रुपए की नगदी पकड़ी है। जिनमें उत्तरप्रदेश में 29.65, पंजाब में 12.11 करोड़, उत्तराखंड में 55 लाख तथा मणिपुर मे 47 लाख रुपए शामिल हैं। हम जानते हैं कि ये मामूली आंकड़ें हैं। इसके सैकड़ों गुना रुपए व अवैध प्रमाद साधनों का दुरुपयोग होना आम बात है। इस आंकड़े से साबित तो हो ही जाता है की देश समृद्ध है। धन बहुत है पर किसके पास? क्या साफ कहना सही नहीं की कुछ नेताओं, सहयोगी पूँजीपतियों व अवैध धंधों के आकाओं के पास। क्या इन्हीं पकड़े गए अवैध पैसों में से थोड़ा-सा उन किसानों के कृषि कार्य के लिए सुरक्षित आवंटित न कर दिया जाए ताकि समाज को कलंकित होने से बचाया जा सके।

वस्तुतः कभी-कभी समझना मुश्किल हो जाता है कि हमारी नीति कितनी विकसोन्मुख है, हमारी दिशा कितनी सकारात्मक है। उपर्युक्त विषयों पर हमने समाज के कुछ बौद्धिक वर्गों की राय ली दिल्ली स्थित पूर्वांचल एकता मंच के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष शिवजी सिंह ने किसानों की ऐसी दुखद दशा पर दुख व्यक्त करते हुए इसके लिए राजनेताओं को जिम्मेदार ठहराया और कहा कि हमारे किसान बाढ़-सुखाड़ व बढती कीमतों से त्रस्त हैं। ऐसे में देश का विकास संभव नहीं। सरकार की अव्यवस्थित नीति को किसानों की गिरती हालत व आत्महत्या के लिए जिम्मेदार मानने वालों में उच्च न्यायालय के अधिवक्ता विशाल सिन्हा तथा विहार नवनिर्माण समिति के अध्यक्ष कमल कर्मकार प्रमुख हैं। एक तरफ देश में तकनीकी एवं वैज्ञानिक विकास, अवैध धन का चुनावी दुरुपयोग तथा दूसरी तरफ किसानों की आत्महत्या जैसी स्थिति पर पूछने पर ‘भोजपुरी जिंदगी’ के सम्पादक संतोष पटेल ने माना कि तकनीकी विकास के नाम पर किसानों की अनदेखी देश को भ्रमित करने जैसा है।

अभी-अभी 2जी स्पैक्ट्रम घोटाला मामले में जस्टिस ए.के.गांगुली ने कहा कि आज हमारे देश में भ्रष्टाचार न केवल संवैधानिक व्यवस्था की अवधारणा के लिए बड़ा ख़तरा बन गया है, बल्कि यह लोकतंत्र की बुनियाद तथा कानून के शासन के लिए भी ख़तरा है। हमारे सार्वजनिक जीवन में भ्रष्टाचार का स्तर देश में समाजवादी, धर्मनिर्पेक्ष व लोकतंत्रिक गणराज्य की अवधारणा के बिल्कुल उलट है। यह उस व्यवस्था में फिट नहीं बैठता। इसपर कोई विवाद नहीं है कि जहां भ्रष्टाचार होता है वहीं अधिकार ख़त्म हो जाता है।’’ ऐसे में ज़रूरत है कि वैधानिक व्यवस्था पर काबिज़ लोग निद्रा को तोड़ें और देश के जनता की भावनाओं और उनके सार्वभौम अधिकारों का सम्मान कर कर्त्तव्य निष्ठा का परिचय दें।

“SUKH DUKH KE SATHI SANSTHA” of Dwarka celebrated Basant Panchmi festival on 28th January 2012 with full zeal and joy. The members of the Sanstha gathered early in the morning in DDA park behind Sadbhawna Apartments in Sector-22 Dwarka and started their programme with Saraswati Vandana, the goddess of learning, to whom this auspicious day is dedicated. The prayer was made to bless all human being with eternal knowledge, the greatest wealth of life.

In the inaugural speech, Vice President of the Sanstha Shri SPS Chauhan, Ex-DIG BSF spoke about this festival explaining that Vasant (Spring) is one of the six ritus (seasons)- Vasant(as in Sanskrit), Greeshm, Varsha, Sharad, Hemant & Shishir. The festival Basant Panchami is celebrated every year Panchami of Hindu month Magh (January–February) to mark the end of the winters and beginning of Spring and new crops. Other members also shared their knowledge about this festival indicating that significance of this festival is more cultural in nature than religious, often celebrated by non-Hindus also in some form. In Pakistan, the celebrations of spring are known as 'Jashn-e-baharaan' which is celebrated for almost a month. Amir Khusro, the famous sufi poet composed songs using the word Basant (festival), and Nizamuddin Auliya used to join him in celebrating Basants of Sufis.

Yellow colour has great significance on this festival, which is a sign of auspiciousness and spirituality. Even the food is coloured yellow by using saffron. Men, women and girls wear yellow clothes. The yellow flowers of mustard crop covers the entire field in such a way that it seems as if gold is spread over the land glittering with the rays of the sun. In the program of Sanstha also, one of the members. Shri KD Kaushal, brought and distributed home cooked yellow sweet rice to all members followed by tea.

Main programme of the day was a ‘bhandara’ organized by the Sanstha members near main gate of Sadbhwana Apartments, mainly for poor people with the lead of Capt S.S. Mann and whole hearted support of Sarv Shri D.C. Mathur, SC Chawla, GR Bains, PB Mishra JK Jindal, Dr. BM Khanna and other members. Ladies and children of the members also participated enthusiastically. Wide publicity of the ‘bhandara’ was made in nearby area which resulted in overwhelming response of about six hundred people who were served puri, sabzi, yellow haluwa and rice as much as they required, in dignified and respectful manner using disposable plates with spoons and water glasses. The service was done affectionately by the Sanstha members. The area was completely cleaned by the members themselves, before and after the bhandara. Before starting the bhandara, the members visited the nearby temple to pray goddess Saraswati and worship all the gods.

Next morning birthday of the members of the Sanstha falling during the month was celebrated collectively to wish them a long happy life, Shri PB MISHRA, a poet member of the Sanstha read his following poem of b’day wishes. President of Sanstha Shri Vijay Shankar Singh, Ex-DIG BSF declared closing of the celebration with proposal of thanks to the members who organized the whole programme.

Even as 590 kids from all over the Country play football in ‘the best ground of the country’ in the AIFF U-14 Football Fest, the AIFF spotters keep a close eye on all of them. Scott O’Donell, Technical Manager, Regional and Elite Academies spoke at length to www.the-aiff.com on the significance of the Fest, the plans ahead and other related issues. EXCERPTS:

What is the significance of the AIFF U-14 Football Fest?

The Fest forms an integral part of the selection for the future National Team. At the moment, we would be recruiting boys for the Regional Academies from the Fest. There are State Teams who are making a significant progress on the field as we are progressing. The momentum is picking up.

Are you impressed with the quality of the boys?
This is just the second day of the Fest. As we progress, we would be having stronger teams playing against each other. That would be fun. But yeah, the quality of some boys from Mizoram and Meghalaya, have been exceptional.

Do such Fests form the bedrock in developed Footballing Nations?
Not always. For example, in Australia, the National Championships form the platform for the future. In an ideal situation, the best talent was supposed to be at such a tournament. But I understand that doesn’t always happen here. Hence, we are looking for more options.

What’s your take on the Premier League Soccer?
I am amazed at the amount of money that’s involved in it. The salary being offered to a single player can give us a few turfs for the kids to train. If there’s any future of football in India, it lies in the Youth Development Programme. It needs to be a long-term plan. But sadly, not all realise that. I personally believe, if you invest in such a concept, it won’t help Indian Football at all.

St.Mary's School Dwarka celebrated Republic Day

Recently, St.Mary's School, Dwarka celebrated Republic day as part of the much awaited Class Day of class V. The preparations started a month ago with lots of planning and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with flag hoisting by the chief guest Air Commodore Sunil Kumar, VSM who was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Rupa Kumar. It was followed bymarch past by NCC boys and girls along with the school band which played the tunes of the song ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’. Patriotic song ‘coming home’ and ‘Jai Jana Bharat’ were sung as a solemn reminder of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle.

A tableau depicting the fundamental rights and duties was applauded by one and all. Then, the talented students presented their well choreographed dance moves from different states of India depicting her as a land with ‘unity in diversity’. The programme concluded with the chief guest addressing the gathering. He congratulated the students for putting up an enthralling show and appreciated their efforts and hardwork for the wonderful visual treat. It was followed bythe prize distribution ceremony, where prizes were given to the winning house, classes and students in various competitions. Aastha House Prefects and their House Mistress, Ms. Sangita Maria lifted the trophy for the seniors while Shakti House was adjudged the best house for the Juniors.

U-14 Football Fest kicks-off in Kalyani

The U-14 Football Fest conducted by the All India Football Federation kicked-off at the picturesque Kalyani Stadium Ground in Nadia on Tuesday (January 31) morning. The Fest, aimed in spotting players for the various AIFF-FIFA Regional Academies and the National Age-Group Teams was inaugurated by Minister for Food Processing and Horticulture, West Bengal, Mr. Ujjwal Biswas.

Mr. Biswas marked the opening with the traditional lighting of the lamp in presence of Dr. Pradip Kumar Sur, Chairman, Kalyani Municipality, who is also the President of the Organising Committee.

Scot O’Donnell -- Technical Manager, Regional Academies; Colm Toal – Head Coach, Youth Development Programme and Shubhankar Mukherjee, Director, National Teams, AIFF were also present on the occasion. Mr. Gobinda Chandra Naskar, Member of Parliament, Bongaon, was also part of the proceedings.

The 27 teams represented by 594 kids participating in the Fest which concludes on February 4, 2012 were also treated to a Cultural Programme. Besides, Guinness Book record-holder Uttam Das demonstrated his juggling skills on a motorbike, much to the appreciation of the boys.

The teams have been divided into 7 groups of four-teams each. Each team would be playing three matches of 30-minute duration after which they would again be classified in separate groups – for stronger teams and weaker teams.

The golf course will soon in Dwarka

There is good news for sports lovers and particularly for golf players because

Very soon, you will be able to tee off in a golf course of international standards in Delhi, and that too by paying a very nominal fee. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is coming up with a ‘state-of-the-art’ 18-hole golf course spread over an area of 173 acres in Dwarka — the biggest ever by the agency.

“DDA is the first to bring this elite sport to the doorstep of the common man,” said Neemo Dhar, DDA spokesperson. “Our golf courses allow ‘pay and play’, which brings the sport to the common man. The pattern is being replicated in our upcoming golf courses,” she said.

Apart from the gold driving range, the complex will house a training centre, club house, swimming pool and gymnasiums of international standards. The golf course will come up at Dwarka Sector 24, next to the proposed diplomatic enclave and international convention centre planned by the DDA. The golf course will also be very close to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Is a Guru Absolutely Necessary?

In spite of much prevalence of the concept of a spiritual Guru, there is still a good deal of confusion, misunderstanding, and skepticism in the public mind on this vital matter.

Is a Guru absolutely necessary? Who is a Satguru? How far can he help his Chela (disciple)? What are the duties of a disciple? What is the meaning of Initiation (diksha)? Want of clear-cut and definite answers to these and related questions often impedes the spiritual progress of earnest aspirants.

We explore the answers to some of these questions here.

THE NEED FOR A GURU
For a beginner in the spiritual path, a Guru is necessary. To light a candle, you need a burning candle. Even so, an illumined soul alone can enlighten another soul. Some do meditation for some years independently. Later on, they actually feel the necessity for a Guru. They come across some obstacles in the way. They do not know how to obviate these impediments or stumbling blocks. Then they begin to search for a Master.

Only the man who has already been to Badrinath will be able to tell you the road leading to it. In the case of the spiritual path, it is still more difficult to find your way. The mind will mislead you very often. The Guru will be able to remove pitfalls and obstacles, and lead you along the right path. He will tell you: “This road leads you to Moksha; this one leads to bondage.” Without this guidance, you might want to go to Badrinath, but find yourself in Delhi !

The Lord in his incarnations as Sri Rama & Sri Krishna took refuge in the holy feet of Self Realized Saints like Guru Vishwamitra, Sage Vasishtha & Sage Sandipani, thus exemplifying the divine message of the Supreme Glory of the Guru, to whole of humanity.

Sant Kabirji has nicely explained the need for a Guru in his own words:
Even if you need to perform the ordinary chores of the world, you need someone to guide you in the form of a Guru. O Mind! Then ponder, how can one attain the Supreme Almighty Lord without a Guru?

Guru Nanak Dev ji says:
The one who seeks shelter under a saint crosses over the ocean of samsara. One who slanders the Saints, O Nanak, shall be reincarnated over and over again.

Swami Vivekananda used to say:
The aspirant who is under the guidance of a Master or Guru is safe from being led astray. Satsanga or association with the Guru is an armour and fortress to guard you against all temptations and unfavourable forces of the material world.

Cases of those who had attained perfection without study under any Guru should not be cited as authoritative against the necessity for a Guru; for, such great men are the anomalies of spiritual life, and not the common normality. They come into existence as spiritual masters as a result of the intense service, study and meditation practised in previous births. They had already studied under the Guru. The present birth is only its continuative spiritual effect. Hence, the importance of the Guru is not lessened thereby.

To summarize, quoting the famous Adi Shankaracharyaji:
"If a person possesses a handsome, disease-free body, beautiful wife, obedient son, & fame spread all over the world, but has not surrendered himself at the holy feet of a Guru, then he has achieved nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing.

Sir,

We would like to bring to your kind attention, we have been HIGHLIGHTING various deficiencies of DDA.

This particular case is of TOTAL NEGLIGENCE by DDA towards Dwarka. What talked of in documents and off records discussion. Dwarka Sub-City is DREAM Project and called Master Plan Sub City. Where as in reality there is ZERO Implementations of Master Plan provisions. You may check yourself on the Master Plan 2021 documents, DDA other documents related to Dwarka and latest Zonal Plan K-II.

DDA currently interested only in INVENTING NEW Projects else where as existing announced one or budged are not implemented. Take the case of PRE HABITATION of Dwarka project:

Not a single Community centre within Sectors of Dwarka we have, what DDA had build CC on Villages around Dwarka.

Since there were many issues that affects over 6 lakh residents, over 300 CGHS Apartments and over 55 DDA Pocket RWA's in Dwarka Sub-City along with Commercial and Institutional representatives.

Some of the areas where we found DDA NEGLECTING DWARKA are as follows:

Master Plan of Dwarka:

This remain only as we call it there are many MASTERs in DDA but no Planners seems.
Planning and Implementation failures.
Pre habitation facilities lacking:

i. No Vegetable/Fruits Markets
ii. Only few Milk Diary booths such as Mother Diaries
iii. No Community Halls within Sectors
iv. No District Centre
v. No Recreation Centre or Cinema Halls etc
vi. No Clubs
vii. The Service Sector 20 is converted to Commercial use and NO SERVICE related usage till date allotted.

No tolerance Zone- Dwarka.
No one actually know what is this MEANING of ZERO TOLERANCE as no document is available.
There is no enforcement on violation to commercial encroachment in markets
The commercial building have extended rooftops and other areas without due approval causing huge REVENUE loss to DDA and risking public.

Parking Issues:
The ECS (Equal Car Space per 100 Sq Mtr)– Parking are not available in LSC , Sector markets and Institutional areas.
Multi Level parking project have not implemented for Sector 6/10, 4/5/11/12 markets
The LSC Private buildings reserved basement parking are not open to public

Water Supply:
The DDA and DJB collected an average of Rs. 10 lakh per CGHS Society and Equal from DDA Pockets. However the basic supply of Drinking water not provided by DDA till date as its on loggerhead with DJB. Dwarkites don't get SAFE DRINKING WATER even a liter per person per day.
98% of Dwarkites drinking toxic ground water with over 3000 TDS level. Without providing safe water to existing population DDA add on new housing projects.

Incomplete Projects:
Bharat Vandana Park- No sign of implementation- Only Meetings no outcomes.
Approval of 750 Bed hospital building plan pending with DDA
Uncompleted Roads connecting various parts especially sector 24,25,26 and Dwarka-Palam Vihar Expressway.

DDA Pockets pathetic condition:
Almost all the DDA Pockets are in most DANGEROUS situation where most of the ceiling and balconies are falling apart.
The facility provided to these pockets are minimal, while you are adding new complex and ignoring the existing one to provide BASIC Amenities.

Completion cum Pre occupancy certificate issues of Cooperative Group Housing Society:
DDA board should consider one time moratorium to all CGHS who have completed necessary FIRE clearance for CC/POC. DDA is loosing out revenue on Freehold amount due to this complex CC/POC.
The DDA to open office in Dwarka to enable FREE HOLD facilitation Desk

Maintenance of Master Plan Sub-City:
-The Dwarka boast of wide roads and Service lanes, Drains,Pedestrian paths. These are not maintained properly and timely.
-The parks are not developed in mot of the sector either due to water supply or power supply or short of funds. The Malis on pay roll only available to Horticulture office what ever work is done is through contractor.
-The pedestrian paths are not designed as per latest UTTIPEC guidelines
-The maintenance of DDA Pocket Flats is pathetic condition especially exteriors & balconies falling.

द्वारका में समभाव द्वारा सरस्वती पूजा का आयोजन सम्पन्न

पिछले दिनों स्वैच्छिक संस्थान ‘समभाव’ के द्वारा द्वारका के सेक्टर 14 स्थिति ओम अपार्टमेंट के निकट सरस्वती पूजन समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतिमा पूजन एवं प्रसाद वितरण के बाद ‘म्यूजीकल चेयर’ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन महिलाओं के लिए किया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता में लगभग तीस महिलाएं प्रतिभागी रही।

इस प्रतियोगिता का सबसे रोचक पहलू यह रहा कि सभी प्रतिभागी महिलाओं को प्रोत्साहन पुरस्कार दिया गया। नौनिहालों की कलात्मक अभिरुचियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए उम्र के आधार पर तीन समूहों में ‘चित्रकला’ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। इस चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता में लगभग दो सौ बच्चों ने हिस्सा लिया। प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम, द्वतीय और तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले बच्चों को सम्मान स्वरूप प्रसस्ती पत्र एवं प्रतीक चिन्ह ‘नारायणा एकेडमी,द्वारका’ के द्वारा दिया गया। शेष प्रतिभागी बच्चों को भी प्रोत्साहन पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

दो दिवसीय पूजन समारोह के प्रथम संध्या पर नटराज संगीत महाविद्यालय के द्वारा भगवान श्रीकृष्ण और शिव पर आधारित नृत्य नाटिका का मंचन किया गया। साथ ही साथ साईं बाबा और विप्र सुदामा की जीवन शैली पर आधारित झाकियाँ प्रदर्शित की गईं। कुछ बच्चों ने एकल नृत्य की प्रस्तुति भी की। इस रंगारंग कार्यक्रम के दौरान स्थानीय महत्त्वपूर्ण लोगों में मटियाला क्षेत्र के विधायक सुमेश शौकि़न, निगम पार्षद उषा गुप्ता, पूर्वांचल एकता मंच के अध्यक्ष शिवजी सिंह, द्वारका सिटी समाचार पत्र के प्रबंध सम्पादक मुकेश सिन्हा, एसीपी समय सिंह, स्थानीय समाजसेवी रॉबिन शर्मा एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी उपस्थित थे। समभाव के समस्त पदाधिकारी, सदस्य एवं सहयोगी भी उपस्थित थे।

पूजन समारोह के दूसरे दिन विशाल भण्डारे का आयोजन किया गया तथा प्रतिमा का विसर्जन हर्षोल्लास के साथ यमुना नदी में सम्पन्न हुआ।

BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATED AT THE INDIAN HEIGHTS SCHOOL

To celebrate the importance and significance of Basant Panchami, a talent hunt competition, “SPECTRUM” was organized to add more colours to this colourful festival. GOONJ organized “RAHAT-WINTERS” collection camp in Dwarka

Neil Thomson and Ruth Thomson from UK, doing research on recycle based products spent entire time in the collection camp. They appreciated Goonj’s innovative efforts based on re-use concept to serve society. They shall also display the Goonj’s work during their exhibition in UK next month.

Annual Venkateshwar Summit focuses on India and UK as an ISA activity

The ` Annual Venkateshwar India-UK Summit’ was organized by Sri VIS, Sector-18, Dwarka in association with the Childreach International on January 21, 2012. The summit was an extension of the British Council’s International School Award (ISA) project, developing the pupils’ awareness of the cultures of other countries, while promoting an understanding of their own. Apart from the majestic Annual Venkateshwar Summit Rolling Trophy for the winning team’s school, the top three teams were to be awarded cash prizes of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively along with individual trophies and certificates.

The summit was a reminder to the future leaders that every incident in history teaches us to take better care of the future, while planning for the future. The colonial past has left different legacies. The summit coincided with the republic day related activities of the month. The guests for the day were Ms Amita Sharma, the Manager Programs and Mr Vishesh Shukla from the Childreach International India. Childreach International India is a development organization that empowers children across India to achieve their right to education, healthcare, protection and prepares them to grow up as sensitized and responsible leaders of tomorrow.

22 teams from prominent schools from Delhi participated in the event. A written screening preliminary round was held along with some non-evaluative brainstorming activities for sensitizing the budding leaders such as a social responsibility test and a graffiti writing/wall magazine activity on why study English, what UK offers to us, what India can offer to the world.

The six best teams from different schools were t shortlisted after a tie breaker round for the sixth spot, which added the Modern convent team to the famous five - Sri VIS Sector -18, Dwarka, Venkateshwar Global School Sector- 13, Rohini, Loreto Convent Delhi Cantt., VIS Sector -10 Dwarka and IPIS Sector -10 Dwarka .

The final quiz had five rounds. The first two rounds- `Guess me Right’ and `Audio round’ ’ saw last four teams being selected. They were Loreto Convent, Modern Convent, VGS and Sri VIS teams. The ‘Check your Memory’ round led to elimination of the Loreto team.

The brain churning final `Rapid Fire Round’ decided the final winner. Sri Venkateshwar International School team members Aryan Gupta and Pranav Suri brought laurels and the rolling trophy to their school as they finished with 88 points. The First Runners up with 78 points were Vagisha Malhotra and Hardik Goel from the Venkateshwar Global School , while the Second Runners up were Harsh Kumar and Divanshi Khurana from the Modern Convent School with 47 points.

In the non-evaluative, yet socially stimulating and sensitizing activities organized by the Childreach International, graffiti written for the wall magazine by students from Loreto Convent and NK Bagrodia School were found to be highly commendable and were awarded medals.

A Social Responsibility Test – to awaken the spirit of social service and sensitivity saw the children giving situational responses in a mature and responsible manner, such as if their mother was sick and they were alone, all of them said that they will administer the first- aid, call a doctor and family members and take charge till others arrived. To the question, what would you do if you see a child begging or working in a roadside eatery, majority said that they will feel bad and many added that they will ask their parents to give money and clothes and a few also added that they will try to have the child put in a school with help from adults. To the question on garbage disposal, they had the right responses. It seems that society will see much improvement through these social messiahs.

Mr.Arvind Aggrawal-Volunteer of GOONJ-Dwarka informed dwarkaparichay that the residents of Dwarka generously contributed several items like wearable old/new clothes, woolens, blankets, sweaters, jackets, shawls, caps, bed sheets, socks, gloves, clothes (washed), utensils, dry ration, sewing machine, Umbrellas, shoes, footwear, newspapers & magazines, one sided used papers, school material, books, old cycle, toys etc. Volunteers Anjali, Munish & Vishal were also present during the camp.

Panic and Rumors are Contagious

Both rumors and panic reactions are contagious. It just takes one percent of the population to create rumors. Most rumors are not facts. The best way to know whether it’s a rumor or not, is to ask, “Who told you”. The answer invariably will be ‘someone’. Unless somebody has heard it from the horses’ mouth do not believe it. It is a human tendency to add to what one has heard from someone.

Rumors are scientific and are based on the 100th Monkey Phenomenon. Once the target population is sensitized, the rumor spreads like wild fire. In a gathering of 1000 people only 10 persons are required to spread the rumor, and the resultant panic. In a war-like situation, it is easy to spread rumors as the public is sensitized for the same and living in an unknown fear.

Panic attacks are an unexplained and unprovoked fight or flight response. The body suddenly has the physical reaction of a life-threatening situation. Panic attack is usually mistaken (by the sufferer) as a heart attack and can be very frightening. Anxiety can sometimes lead to panic attacks therefore a lot of people with anxiety disorder tend to unfortunately develop panic attacks.

It is an emotion most people experience when they feel they are in danger. The heart rate increases, the muscles tense up, one get a rush of adrenaline and one is ready to fight for the life. This is called the “Fight or Flight” reaction and it gives one the extra strength needed to overcome or escape a dangerous situation.

On the other hand, anxiety disorder is when you have the symptoms but the reason for feeling the “Fight or Flight” reaction is unclear.
A panic attack is a sudden surge of overwhelming fear that comes without warning and without any obvious reason. It is far more intense than the feeling of being ‘stressed out’ that most people experience. Symptoms of a panic attack include:

*Racing heartbeat
*Difficulty in breathing, feeling as though you ‘can’t get enough air’
*Terror that is almost paralyzing
*Trembling, sweating, shaking
*Choking, chest pains
*Hot flashes or sudden chills
*Tingling in fingers or toes (‘pins and needles’).
*Fear that you’re going to go crazy or are about to die

In addition to the above symptoms, a panic attack is marked by the following conditions:
It occurs suddenly, without any proportion to the actual situation; often, in fact, it’s completely unrelated.
It passes off in a few minutes; the body cannot sustain the ‘fight or flight’ response for longer than that. However, repeated attacks can continue to recur for hours.

A panic attack is not dangerous, but it can be terrifying, largely because it feels ‘crazy’ and ‘out of control’. Panic disorder is frightening because of the panic attacks associated with it, and also because if often leads to other complications such as phobias, depression, substance abuse, medical complications, even suicide. Its effects can range from mild word or social impairment to a total inability to face the outside world.

Tips: Be prepared for emergencies. Always keep the first aid kit and a supply of goods and medicines for 1-2 weeks handy than to panic when they are needed.

Advantages after getting an Aadhaar Number / UID

The Aadhaar will become the single source of identity verification. Once residents enrol, they can use the number multiple times – they would be spared the hassle of repeatedly providing supporting identity documents each time they wish to access services such as obtaining a bank account, passport, driving license,andso on.

By providing a clear proof of identity, the Aadhaar will also facilitate entry for poor and underprivileged residents into the formal banking system, and the opportunity to avail services provided by the government and the private sector. The Aadhaar will also give migrants mobility of identity.

The UID-enabled-Bank-Account network will offer a secure and low cost platform to directly remit benefits to residents without the heavy costs associated today with benefit distribution.

Aadhaar-based authentication to confirm entitlement delivered to the beneficiary:

Tthe UIDAI will offer online authentication services for agencies who wish to validate a resident’s identity; this service will enable confirmation of the entitlement actually reaching the intended beneficiary.

Self-service puts residents in control:

Using Aadhaar as an authentication mechanism, residents should be able to access up-to-date information about their entitlements, demand services and redress their grievances directly from their mobile phone, kiosks or other means. In the case of self-service on the resident’s mobile, security is assured using two-factor authentication (i.e. by proving possession of the resident’s registered Mobile Number and knowledge of the resident’s Aadhaar PIN).

Salgaocar Sports Club’s fine run of six wins in seven matches will be under threat as they meet arch-rivals Dempo Sports Club in the Goa Derby at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Sunday (January 29).

Dempo scored a solitary goal win in the opening game of the I-League and had looked the better team of the two since the start of the competition. However, Salgaocar have been the team to beat for the last seven matches and have collected more points than any other team in the competition.

“It will not be the same surely. They are a very good team and will, as usual, complicate things for us,” admitted Dempo Coach Mauricio Afonso.

Mauricio is expected to field a strong side and hand over starts to Nigerian strikers Ranty Martins and Koko Sakibo. Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Densil Theobad, who had two good games since his inclusion, will also start alongside Climax Lawrence in central midfield.

“This match becomes all the more crucial because Salgaocar too would be nursing hopes of moving on top. It’s imperative that we collect points and move further away from our challengers,” said Afonso, who is now deputising for Armando Colaco who remains hospitalised.

Except for Rowilson Rodrigues, Dempo will be at full-strength against their archrivals.

The need of a Guru

Every soul is destined to be perfect, and every being, in the end, will attain the state of perfection. Whatever we are now is the result of our acts and thoughts in the past; and whatever we shall be in the future will be the result of what we think end do now. But this, the shaping of our own destinies, does not preclude our receiving help from outside; nay, in the vast majority of cases such help is absolutely necessary. When it comes, the higher powers and possibilities of the soul are quickened, spiritual life is awakened, growth is animated, and man becomes holy and perfect in the end.

This quickening impulse cannot be derived from books. The soul can only receive impulses from another soul, and from nothing else. We may study books all our lives, we may become very intellectual, but in the end we find that we have not developed at all spiritually. It is not true that a high order of intellectual development always goes hand in hand with a proportionate development of the spiritual side in Man. In studying books we are sometimes deluded into thinking that thereby we are being spiritually helped; but if we analyse the effect of the study of books on ourselves, we shall find that at the utmost it is only our intellect that derives profit from such studies, and not our inner spirit. This inadequacy of books to quicken spiritual growth is the reason why, although almost every one of us can speak most wonderfully on spiritual matters, when it comes to action and the living of a truly spiritual life, we find ourselves so awfully deficient. To quicken the spirit, the impulse must come from another soul.

The person from whose soul such impulse comes is called the Guru ? the teacher; and the person to whose soul the impulse is conveyed is called the Shishya — the student. To convey such an impulse to any soul, in the first place, the soul from which it proceeds must possess the power of transmitting it, as it were, to another; and in the second place, the soul to which it is transmitted must be fit to receive it.

The seed must be a living seed, and the field must be ready ploughed; and when both these conditions are fulfilled, a wonderful growth of genuine religion takes place. "The true preacher of religion has to be of wonderful capabilities, and clever shall his hearer be" ? ; and when both of these are really wonderful and extraordinary, then will a splendid spiritual awakening result, and not otherwise. Such alone are the real teachers, and such alone are also the real students, the real aspirants. All others are only playing with spirituality. They have just a little curiosity awakened, just a little intellectual aspiration kindled in them, but are merely standing on the outward fringe of the horizon of religion. There is no doubt some value even in that, as it may in course of time result in the awakening of a real thirst for religion; and it is a mysterious law of nature that as soon as the field is ready, the seed must and does come; as soon as the soul earnestly desires to have religion, the transmitter of the religious force must and does appear to help that soul. When the power that attracts the light of religion in the receiving soul is full and strong, the power which answers to that attraction and sends in light does come as a matter of course.

There are, however, certain great dangers in the way. There is, for instance, the danger to the receiving soul of its mistaking momentary emotions for real religious yearning. We may study that in ourselves. Many a time in our lives, somebody dies whom we loved; we receive a blow; we feel that the world is slipping between our fingers, that we want something surer and higher, and that we must become religious. In a few days that wave of feeling has passed away, and we are left stranded just where we were before. We are all of us often mistaking such impulses for real thirst after religion; but as long as these momentary emotions are thus mistaken, that continuous, real craving of the soul for religion will not come, and we shall not find the true transmitter of spirituality into our nature.

So whenever we are tempted to complain of our search after the truth that we desire so much, proving vain, instead of so complaining, our first duty ought to be to look into our own souls and find whether the craving in the heart is real. Then in the vast majority of cases it would be discovered that we were not fit for receiving the truth, that there was no real thirst for spirituality. There are still greater dangers in regard to the transmitter, the Guru.There are many who, though immersed in ignorance, yet, in the pride of their hearts, fancy they know everything, and not only do not stop there, but offer to take others on their shoulders; and thus the blind leading the blind, both fall into the ditch.

"Fools dwelling in darkness, wise in their own conceit, and puffed up with vain knowledge, go round and round staggering to and fro, like blind men led by the blind." ? (Katha Up., I. ii. 5). The world is full of these. Every one wants to be a teacher, every beggar wants to make a gift of a million dollars! Just as these beggars are ridiculous, so are these teachers.

What Bothers Me Most?-Accidents[Death] on Roads

There are many things, which are happening daily, in our city[Delhi], bother me. But, what pains me most is- Accidents/ Death, on the roads.

Not a day passes, without reading in the newspapers/watching on the TV, the heart-rending news/ghastly pictures of accidents in our city. It is more a matter of anguish to observe at the way, deaths on the roads especially by Buses, were being reported.

Just imagine the anguish of all those hapless persons involved in these accidents-some loosing their limbs and hospitalisation/immobilization for months. For some very unlucky ones-loss of life & the ensuing mountain of agony & sorrow for their departed loved ones, besides loosing the bread winner, spending of huge money in hospital/recuperation expenses, emotional trauma, etc etc.

Why all this is happening with great rapidity & regularity, over the years? There are many reasons. Some of the main reasons, which come to mind are-too many vehicles of various modes, competing for their space in the limited road-width viz very big, powerful & fast vehicles -Blue Lines, dumpers, containers, JCB‘s, trucks, tractors with trolleys, plying in the same carriageway, where the small, weakest & slow vehicles plied by handicapped, cyclists, cycle rickshaws also move. Then, the geometry of our roads, ill-maintained dividers & islands, missing, ill-placed, ill maintained road signages, roads, footpaths , encroached by hawkers, construction agencies, make a deadly combination & a ready recipe for mishaps, to happen!

Add to this, the apathy of drivers- at times, ill-trained, minor, drunken, insensitivity of traffic police, transport department, local authorities, construction agencies, general public, lack of strict enforcement of laid down rules, unethical practices in issuing licences & booking of offenders & we have with us another deadly combo, of injuries & death on the roads.

What needs to be done urgently, is action on many fronts, by various stakeholders- proper care in issuing of driving licences, allowing only properly maintained vehicles on the roads with proper geometry ie separate unencroached areas for slow vehicles, strict enforcement of traffic rules, proper road marking & signages , well lighted, maintained roads & planned deployment of existing traffic police, which at times, one observes is not proper & for which, there is big scope of its improvement with proper administration, management motivation & training.

There is also need to encourage and educate public to help the injured/ accident –involved persons,which presently, the general public feels shy of doing so, due to many reasons. Though, there have been a few good-samaritans, like mr Singh of Ghaziabad who have rendered help without bothering for any consequences-keeping humane spirit as their top agenda, about whose good deeds, were being shown by NDTV ,sometime back.. Community, has also a big role to play in this serious area of curbing accidents & rendering help in case of accidents.

Role of Local authorities in proper maintenance of roads, footpaths & proper execution & management of ongoing works on roads by Metro-HSBC, Subways executing agencies etc, is most important & vital.

There are many ways, accidents can be averted/curbed. But, what is needed, foremost is the right attitude & will of the authorities & community. Sri VIS Dwarka celebrates Republic Day

The inherent pride in being an Indian was evident as Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka Sector 18 celebrated the 63rd Republic Day.

Shri Rajpal ji, Founder Chairman Sri VIS was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Guests of Honour were Mr Sailander Solanki, Chairman SVIS and Mr Kamal Solanki, Director Finance, VIS Sec 10.The Principal Ms Nita Arora welcomed all the guests with a floral accord and exhorted the students to uphold the ideals of the constitution, thereby becoming true citizens of the nation.

The Guests received the Guard of Honour and unfurled the National Flag marking the beginning of the celebrations. As they released the tri-coloured balloons, the patriotic fervour took centre stage.

The school contingents marched displaying poise with aplomb as a mark of respect to the Indian tricolour. The young musicians voiced their partisan feelings through a patriotic song. The dancers took on the stage with their fusion music as they expressed their feelings, portraying the splendour of the country through their nimble moves.The school seemed to be a microcosm of the nation as the stage took a Rajpath like bearing with each performance resembling a tableau showcasing the vibrant diversity of the Indian culture.

Next, the dancers exhibited a unique dance form ‘Thaipusam’ taking all on a sojourn to the south, highlighting the cultural milieu which was followed by Bhangra. The programme culminated with the relentless spirit of celebration of Sri Venkateshwarites dancing to the tunes of ‘Jai Ho’.

Adil Ahmed Khan has been recently touted as one of the best young midfielders -- someone who has matured fast. This Goan prodigy started playing the sport at the age of 14 in his locality. Adil's parents were quick to note his talent and didn’t waste time in enrolling him with Vasco Sports Club.
Life moved fast for Adil. He started his professional career two years later – at the age of 16 -- with SESA FA where he had his first brush with the first division league. He stayed in SESA for seven years, turned a professional and then moved to Sporting Clube de Goa.

For past four years he has been backbone for Sporting Clube making his mark in the I-League in the process. His efforts bore him fruit when the hard work earned him a call to the Indian National Team for the exhibition match against Bayern Munich.

“My younger brother looks upto me and so do the kids in my village. But I’m not a star. I’ve just started. I want to play.” he goes on.

Tax Heaven-Why a hell for 99%?

Heavens as we learn in religious teachings are known to provide unlimited luxury and rewards to angels. People on earth are assumed to qualify for a heaven by virtue of good deeds. “Tax Heaven” is a hush-hush “Th” term coined by competitor banking system in early globalisation era. It points out a far away foreign offshore land used as a shelter or a hideout of accumulated money. “Th”-code divides global citizens and stakeholders into “devils & angels”. Need and greed articulates a heaven for hiding money on this sole living planet. This magic term spells empowerment with protection to crony few by accumulation of hidden money siphoned from the “parent producer” country. This system which used to be a dream seller to 99% leaves the real producers of the hidden profit cheated. Majority are morally reduced as evil or lazy losers who are unable to covert the fast forward opportunity. Opportunity for selected few gets articulated by economic liberalisation. Hide and seek of this invisible money today in turbulent times is a global game in almost every part of the world. The bootypopularly known as black money in India is termed as dirty money in Europe or blood money in West. Politicians at large, pretending to be honest patriots, play the game often to keep the public engaged. People in a hell away from “tax heavens” remain patiently glued to their daily work with hope based on false spell of 1%.

Unlike feudal lords who used to identify a worship place used by people as a shelter or a hideout for the hard earned money, the modern industry uses offshore banks outside the country to park the loot. Such Banks are identified in countries like Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Bahamas, Bermuda and so on. This list of heavens continues to grow to compete with each other, to protect the money of investors in foreign lands. Corporates pay extra to CFOs to help them to hide money in Swarg called Th. In most of the popular Th, there is no capital gains’ tax, no corporate tax, no income tax for say 20 years, no gift tax and no withholding tax. The dirty game cannot remain hidden- if the bank, the booty and the sources of production are found in the same country. The trick here is customer loyalty. No one shall come to the foreign bank to park dirty money if this activity is not kept secret. Result; the bank and the host country flourishes by providing tourism incentives and luring hospitality to capitalists. The honest production driven country having no tax heavens; remains poor. However this myth gets broken when a superpower applies diplomatic pressure. According to global media the Swiss Bank agrees to help American Parliament fighting recession to know the names of secret account holders having American citizenship. This proves that getting the hidden money back for saving the crisis is possible.

Where does this hidden process starts?
Today, Production is a growth issue. When loans via Banks are awarded to the producers of mines & factories, the money is treated as private not as public or national. Present system is engaged in maximising personnel profit by individual heroism of few trusted managers. Small groups and lobbies of excellence, working in a business team, having no ownership mechanism helps that 1%.

So what goes wrong in a business of Hell-Heaven divide?
There is nothing wrong in collective hard work, national spirit and intentions of 99% to grow. Fault lies with the deliberate design and a disconnect between the wheel of production and the consumption controlled by that 1%.We must see the corporate modus operandi in this chain of survival of Heaven-Hell divide. Corporate in nexus with politicians fails to audit and gives no participatory role to workers. Handling of public sector business by government is so weak and corrupt that even pilots and hockey team are not paid in time and they go on strike. Laws get bend and twisted in favour of the corporate. In the wheel of production the industry produces goods using casual labour monitored by managers. Part time worker as real producer is sent off as soon as production is over. So there is no sense of belonging. If workers go on strike to increase their standard of living then the paid media, government and corporate management continues to paint them as lazy, unproductive and anti-nationals. Media understands this corporate design but ignores it in favour of corporate and government. At times, media showcases Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Television declaring India falling on 132 nd. position from 128th position as per the UNDP study of 200 countries. `Rewards & Punishment` as a check-balance stands teasing and unjustified. What stands good for 1% cannot help and support the rest.

CFOs assist industrialists to steal money from the production cycle and pump it in the market of speculation and gamble called share baazar. Consumption or Industrial sales “score board” is kept hidden from the stakeholders of production and from the public investors. Unlike the wheel of production, the cycle of consumption throws open-unequal sharing, unequal profit, unequal responsibility, unequal surplus control and its dissemination. Public, in most cases as investors feel cheated but get re-convinced by the so called share market experts & promoters to invest again and again. CFOs who are well versed with Banking Laws & its twisted version are hired in the country hosting production. Back in host country say in India, these financial managers advice the Capitalist not to re-invest in the parent country as the desi or indigenous policy analysed by them is comfortably declared as non-encouraging for faster jobless growth of money.

Competition in the industrial playing field is good only when the competition forces the whistle blowers to blow off the rival company. In-house competition in production and sales team helps but this competition fails to touch the issues of transfer of money to Th. So long we have failed to question the base of a business paradigm that we must not expect a breakthrough and miracles. In the conventional system top leaders are expected to showcase all answers and solutions. What if this does not work? We often fail to encourage change because it directly shakes our blind trust, faith, beliefs and prejudices. Right from our childhood, we are programmed to escape from participating in deep experiences. We feel threatened to use simple enquiring tools like How! When! Why! Where! and so on. The nuts and bolts at the site of production and consumption need to be identified. Indigenous fund recycling monitored with strict regulations with more jobs is the only ways out.Tax Heavens-Why should we accept them ? Helping less equals to transform into more equals can save the crisis. This is not a philanthropic business step but a long term human survival kit. It will ensure more productivity, sense of belonging, sharing, participation and `actual` consumption. If India is able to plug the weak production and sales format that allows such ongoing inhuman corruption how shall it honour the ink of its signature to UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC)? UNCAC clause (Article 51 & 52) has provision to help countries for recovery of hidden money in foreign lands.

Solutions need to be rescued at gut level. If a child’s trousers get caught in the wheel, the bicycle chain is rotated back and not forward.

Let us not forget that Mahatma Gandhi the global crusader of Non-Violence during world war-I appealed to Indian youth to join British Army. There was no other choice for Mahatma at that time to support and protect the British India and its unequal colonial systems against Global War.Later during Quit India Movement when Indian protesters on few occasions had put a police station on fire and killed police constables Mahatma threatened to withdraw the agitation and went on fast. In India today from Army to State Police the law enforcing mechanism with a “danda”(baton) is expected to deliver justice at the sites. Nothing has changed since then. People continue to protest against police and army atrocities. Today at Republic Day the police and Para-military is expected to have an additional protocol to stop shoe throwing and slap interventions.

Shri Arvinder Singh, the Transport Minister of Delhi, who is credited with the pioneering the use of GPS in public transport in Delhi, will address the first national conference starting 2nd February 2012, "Tracking and Navigation 2012, New Delhi", on vehicle tracking, fleet management and navigation technologies.

According to Shri Arvinder Singh, "There has been an increase in the commercial usage of GPS technologies for vehicle tracking and fleet management over the last few years", he further opined that, "It is important that GPS for vehicle tracking needs to be seen as an enabler for the government and private sector enterprise. The primary beneficiary is also the person driving the vehicle as it ensures his connectivity even in remote areas." On the ongoing initiative to have GPS in the public transport vehicles he further said, "The objective is to have safe and more reliable public transport system in Delhi for commuters."

Inter House Wall Magazine Competition

As a part of ISA project students of class VI-IX of SVIS, Sec-18 Dwarka participated in Inter House Wall Magazine Competition on the topic – ‘How We Govern Ourselves’. Students made a beautiful and informative wall magazine in which they depicted political systems of 12 different countries. Through this activity students became acquainted with various forms of governance and their features. As a part of ongoing ISA project, a wall magazine competition was organized for the students of Class VI-IX on the topic “How We Govern Ourselves”. Informative and capacious Wall Magazine were displayed depicting the political system of 12 different countries across the globe viz China, UK, US, India, Pakistan etc. The contest provided the students with an insight to the political system, thereby making the world a global village.

Rendezvous with nature

The students of class IX got an opportunity to visit the Aravali Bio-Diversity Park. It was their rendezvous with nature comprising grasslands, fruit yielding species, medicinal plants, native flora and fauna. The students were also shown a section of endangered plants which are being conserved. A conservatory of butterflies and migratory birds caught the attention of the students. Some commonly seen birds were rose ringed parakeets baskets, doves etc. The area was well-maintained and catered to different species in different season. The visit aided the students to learn and understand the environment better.

Despite East Bengal being placed second at the moment, they haven’t been consistent. How do you describe that?
Yes, our performance has been inconsistent. We lost some of the matches which we should have won. But having said that, I think we are in a good position. Ideally, we would have loved to be at the top of the table by now. We need to stay focused.

You play Churchill Brothers in a crucial next round encounter. How do you look forward to the contest?
Churchill Brothers are a very capable side and are very tough to beat at home. They stay at the third place at the moment as four points separate us. But you need to remember, they have played a match less. It’s understandable they would come all guns blazing at us. We need to be cautious but we will play to win.

The combination of Tolgay Ozbey and Penn Orji have worked wonders for East Bengal. What keeps them going?
Both Tolgay and Penn are quality players with lots of potential. Their combination has always helped us. Both complement each other on the field and the team is reaping the benefits in return. I’ve no complaints.

Sanju Pradhan has been outstanding in this edition. What’s your take on him?
Sanju is an exceptional talent who is a match-winner. He has matured a lot and understands his responsibilities and executes them on the field. That defines him. He will go a long way. I rate him very highly. In fact, this team boasts of many match-winners.

Which are the areas you feel your team needs to improve?
Defensive organisation is an aspect we need to improve upon. When we lost to Salgaocar in Goa, our defence wasn’t upto the mark. Hopefully, Nirmal Chhetri would be back with the team and we will have to reorganise our defence against Churchill who have some very good forwards.

Where do you see East Bengal at the end of the season?
The League has reached a stage where a win or a loss can have a huge impact on any team. And mind you, the top 4-5 teams don’t stay far way from each other. We need to stick to the basics. Predicting anything at the moment won’t be right.

CONTRACTOR DOES NOT WORK – MCD SEES HELPLESSLY

People outside Dwarka consider it as neat and clean colony with zero tolerance but this adjective is fading. Anyone can see the bins outside CGHS, DDA’s pockets and in the market full of garbage as the garbage is not being removed daily. The specific example is that M. K. Gupta of Dwarka Forum tried to make a complaint to Pradeep Kumar of contracting firm DMSWSL on 19th Jan. on his phone number 9311785518 about the non-removal of garbage for the last more than two days. Mr. Kumar rather said that he is lying and the truck is going regularly to collect the garbage. Unsatisfied with this arrogant reply blaming his of lying, Gupta called to General Manager, Sanjeev Kumar who promised immediate removal of garbage but till date most of the bins are full of garbage, except some bins emptied from plot No. 10 to 12 i.e. on 22nd, fourth day of the complaint. When the residents try to register complaint on the helpline number 47502291/92/95/98, no body picks up the phone. G.M. Sanjeev Kumar says that many societies are not with the contracting firm while the fact is that whole Dwarka comes under the door to door garbage collection.

In a meeting with Dwarka Forum on 2nd Nov. November. Dy. Commissioner, MCD, C.R. Garg directed the contractor to increase the number of bins from 405 according to the requirement to about 500 but no new bins are still visible. Even some bins are badly damaged and the garbage cannot be down-loaded in the truck as the hooks to lift the bins have broken.

Though, as per record, the MCD has imposed over Rs. 91 lakh penalty on the contractor but when Rejimon C.K. President, Dwarka Forum asked about the details of the deduction of the penalty, MCD instead of giving straight reply said that the details are available on the website and since collection of penalty pertains to Accounts Deptt. the RTI is being transferred to that Deptt.

As per agreement with the MCD, the contractor was required to provide color code bins but it has not provided such bins. Moreover, all the vehicles picking up garbage should have been fitted with GPS system but the MCD has neither provided the list of such vehicles nor the date of installation of GPS in the vehicles. Moreover, as per agreement, the payments to the contractor should have been released after the bills verified by the independent consultant but the MCD said that the tender of the independent consultant is under award.

To be in a state of happiness, bliss and ananda is what the ultimate goal of life is. Everybody is born with certain inherent powers, which if cultivated in the right direction will lead to inner happiness.

The ancient Shiva Sutra text talks about the concept of Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is silence, Shakti is power; Shiva is creativity, Shakti is creation; Shiva is love, Shakti is loving.

In computer term Shiva is the knowledge or the information and Shakti is the operational software. Shiva and Shakti both together form consciousness, in other words the soul.

Shiva sutra – teaching about Shiva – describes five inherent powers of Shakti which everybody is born with and these are ”Chitta Shakti”, “Ananda Shakti”, “Gyan (Gnana) Shakti”, “Icha Shakti” and “Kriya Shakti”.

Kriya Shakti is the one which is most visible. Kriya is not same as karma. Karma is action born of cause and effect. Kriya Shakti is at the level of body and mind.

Icha Shakti is the inherent desires which control the mind. Gyan Shakti is the inherent desire to learn and is at the level of intellect. Both Ananda and Chitta Shakti are at the level of consciousness and represents the desires or aim to be blissful.

These five powers also decide the needs of a person, which can be at the level of physical body, mind, intellect, ego or the soul. The needs activate the Shakti which in turn leads to action. The purpose of life should be to direct the needs and the Shaktis towards the soul and not towards the ego.

The power of Kriya Shakti should have all the actions directed towards the soul; Gyan Shakti should be directed towards the knowledge of the true self; Icha Shakti towards the desire or intention to unite with the self; Anand Shakti and Chitta Shakti towards the awareness of God and to experience the bliss of God.

All thoughts, speech or actions in life should be directed on two basic goals providing happiness to others and ending up with self-happiness. Every action and relationship in life should involve these five powers to attain inner happiness.

Most computers in the body require a key to get activated and the key in the case of Shakti is “intention or intent”. Intentions are something, which are under the control of a person, or one can practice control over them.

“Intention” always requires the association of its buddy “attention” with it. Attention is the focus of action on that particular intention. The combination of intention and attention can change perceptions of life and ultimately change the reality. It has been an old Upanishad saying that you are what your thoughts are. Right intention leads to the right thought; the right thought to right action; the right action to the right habit; the right habit to the right character and the right character leads you to what you are. The punch-line, therefore, is to have right intention which should be directed towards one of the five Shakti to acquire spiritual well-being.

Health is not mere absence of disease but a state of physical, mental, social, environmental and spiritual well-being. Spiritual well being now has been added as the fifth dimension of the health. It has been said that the body is the largest pharmaceutical armamentarium in the world and has the capacity to produce each and every drug available in the universe. This is based on the fact that no drug can go into the body without a receptor. The very fact the body has a receptor for every drug it has the capacity to produce that drug.
All yogic paths to liberation are also directed towards these Shakti. One adopts karma Marg by activating Kriya Shakti, Gyan Marg by activating Gyan Shakti and Bhakti Marg by activating Icha Shakti.
Faulty lifestyle also involves distractions of three of these powers: Icha, Gyan or Kriya Shakti.
Correct lifestyle will involve the correct use of Kriya Shakti in doing actions, correct use of Gyan Shakti by acquiring knowledge about self and healthy behavior and correct use of Icha Shakti by learning the do’s and don’ts of life and controlling the mind towards various addictions of life which can be addition of food, sex, drugs, alcohol, smoking, sleeping, not walking and or eating faulty Rajsic cum Tamsic high refined carbohydrate diet.

Eye Screening Camp organized in Dwarka

On 22nd January, 2012. Association of Neighborhood ladies get-together in collaboration with Vasundhara Eye Clinic organized an Eye Screening Camp for the residents and all the helpers (maids, drivers, guards, gardeners and other staff) of Sector 22 and 23, Dwarka, at Rama Krishna Apartments, Sector 23. The camp was conducted by Dr(Capt) Anjali Mehta, cataract and Oculoplastics Surgeon and her team. Dr. Mehta is also a social activist and running Sagar Trust for the benefit of those who are suffering from serious eye disease.

Mrs.Cicily Kodian informed Dwarka Parichay that around 100 people attended the camp and utilized the services. The residents and helpers were screened for vision problems and medicines were distributed free of cost. Old spectacles were collected from the residents, which were donated to the clinic to be used for needy people.

“Green’s in Peril” an interactive workshop was organised by Nature’s Hut on Saturday 21st January 2012 largely attended by Nature lovers from Dwarka including representatives from Sukh Dukh ke Saathi, ANHLGT, individuals, NGOs and Director (Hort) DDA etc.

Welcoming participants PK Datta stressed the need for knowledge-sharing and contributing towards sustainable growth of Dwarka in terms of work done by developmental agencies. Director (Hort) DDA explained reasons for termite infection and counter action undertaken and various other developmental schemes like Bharat Vandana Park and merciless pruning of trees etc.

Dr. UNB Rao, Chairman UVNAC complimented Horticulture Department for their excellent efforts in making Dwarka beautiful. Vijay Shankar Singh ex-DIG raised issues related to energy and water. Envionmentalist J K Mehta explained in details about solar energy and water. Mrs Kodiyan, Capt. स्मृति ट्रस्ट और बिहार सरकार के उद्योग विभाग के तत्वाधान में एक दिवसीय संगोष्ठी का आयोजन द्वारका स्थित होटल रैडिसन में किया गया। देश के विभिन्न प्रदेशों से आए पूंजी निवेशकों और बिहार के उद्योग विभाग की मंत्री डा. रेणु कुमारी समेत उद्योग विभाग के निदेशक विमल नंद झा, वाणिज्य विभाग, बिहार सरकार के उपनिदेशक आर. के. ओझा, भाजपा के दिल्ली प्रदेश के सहप्रभारी रामेश्वर चैरसिया ने संगोष्ठी को सम्बोधित किया। इस संगोष्ठी का मुख्य उद्देश्य बिहार में उद्योगों की वर्तमान स्थिति और भविष्य की नई सम्भावनाओं के निर्माण के सम्बंध में पूंजी निवेशकों और बिहार सरकार के बीच सामन्जस्य स्थापित करना था। इस संगोष्ठी में आम्रपाली ग्रप के प्रबंध निदेशक अनिल कुमार शर्मा एवं मटियाला विधान सभा क्षेत्र के निगम पार्षद राजेश गहलोत भी मौजूद थे।

संगोष्ठी को सम्बोधित करते हुए डा. रेणु ने कहा कि बिहार की वर्तमान स्थिति परिवर्तनशील है। इस स्थिति में हम सभी आवश्यक बुनियादी सुविधाओं को और भी ज़्यादा सुचारू बनाने के प्रयास में जुटे हुए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि निवेशकों की सहूलियत को ध्यान में रखते हुए बिहार सरकार के उद्योग विभाग ने अपनी नीतियों में कुछ फेर-बदल किए हैं। बिहार में उद्योग स्थापित करने वाले पूंजी निवेशकों को आर्थिक, सामाजिक और कानूनी सहायता देने के लिए हमारी सरकार वचनबद्ध है।

बिहार की राजनैतिक, व्यवसायिक और सामाजिक स्थिति पर प्रकाश डालते हुए डा. रेणु कि कहा कि कुछ वर्षों पहले बिहार में व्याप्त जंगल राज और गुण्डा राज ने स्वाभाविक रूप से यहां के पूंजी निवेशकों के लिए कड़ी मुश्किलें खड़ी कर दी थी। जिसके कारण बिहार के पूंजी निवेशकों ने देश के अन्य प्रदेशों समेत विदेशों में अपनी पूंजी का निवेश करना ज़्यादा ठीक समझा। धीरे-धीरे ऐसी परिस्थिति उभरकर सामने आई कि सारे निवेशक बिहार से बाहर चले गएं। उन दिनों बिहार में केवल अपहरण का उद्योग ही फलफूल रहा था ऐसा इसलिए भी था क्योंकि तत्कालीन सरकार के मुखिया का बिहार के विकास से कोई सरोकार नहीं था।

डा. रेणु ने निवेशकों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि आज़ बिहार के विकास की स्थिति बिल्कुल पारदर्शी है। देश के अन्य राज्यों के मुकाबले बिहार में विकास की दर 14 फीसदी अधिक है। उन्होंने बताया कि राज्य में नई औद्योगिक इकाइयों एवं तकनीकी शिक्षण संस्थानों में निवेश को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से एक ‘आओ बिहार’ योजना बनाई गई है। यह योजना निवेशकों को बिहार सरकार और किसानों के द्वारा ज़मीन मुहैया कराने में हो रही कठिनाइयों को ध्यान में रखकर बनाई गई है। इस योजना के मद्देनज़र सरकार का यह प्रयास है कि बिना किसी बिचैलिए के निवेशकों के द्वारा किसानों को ज़मीन का उचित मूल्य प्राप्त हो सके। डा. रेणु ने किसानों के हितों को ध्यान में रखते हुए यह कहा कि हम बिहार को सिंगुर या नंदीग्राम नहीं बनाना चाहते हैं।

उद्योग विभाग के निदेशक विमल नंद झा ने बिहार की नवीनतम औद्योगिक नीतियों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया कि उत्पादन के पहले स्टाम्प ड्यूटी और पंजीकरण की फीस में शतप्रतिशत की छूट दी जा रही है। इतना ही नहीं, किसी भी औद्योगिक इकाई को स्थापित करने के लिए बिहार सरकार निवेशकों को प्रोत्साहन स्वरूप आर्थिक अनुदान भी प्रदान करेगी।

संगोष्ठी के दौरान राजस्थान के टेक्सटाइल व्यापारी रवीन्द्र जाखड़ ने बिहार में निवेशकों के सुरक्षा पर संशय व्यक्त किया। बिहार की भूमि में जन्में खुशी प्रोपार्टीज एण्ड डेवलपर्स प्रा. लि. के प्रबंध निदेशक मुकेश कुमार सिंह ने कहा कि माननीय मुख्य मंत्री नितीश कुमार जी के कार्यकाल में बिहार का ऐसा विकास हुआ है जो पिछले कई दशकों में संभव नहीं हो सका। बिहार में निवेश करने की इच्छा व्यक्त करते हुए श्री मुकेश जी ने कहा कि अपने जन्म स्थान से भावनात्मक लगाव के कारण वे पटना के आसपास महानगरों के तर्ज पर एक टाउनशीप डेवलप करना चाहते हैं। इस सिलसिले में उन्होंने बिहार सरकार से आग्रह किया कि वह निवेशकों का ध्यान खींचने के लिए एक मास्टर प्लान बनाए जिसमें राज्य के अलग-अलग हिस्सों को श्रेणीगत करे। भूमि अधिग्रहण के मामले में उन्होंने सरकार से यह अनुरोध किया कि सरकार खुद किसानों से ज़मीन एक्वायर कर निवेशकों को मुहैया कराए।

Sample Block of EWS Flats at Dwarka Sector- 23 Inaugurated

Hon’ble Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Urban Development, Government of India inaugurated the sample block of EWS flats constructed by DDA at Dwarka Sector-23 today at about 11.30 AM, in presence of Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Minister of Culture, (special invitee) and Sh.Mahabal Mishra, MP and Sh.Sumesh Shokeen, MLA. Shri G.S.Patnaik, Vice Chairman, Shri Ashok Khurana, Engineer Member and other senior officers of DDA were present besides a large gathering of residents of the surrounding areas.

Shri Kamal Nath, speaking on the occasion, expressed happiness regarding EWS flats and said that urbanization is a challenge especially when about 5 lakh people migrate to Delhi every year from adjoining states. The challenge of urbanization, according to him, should be viewed with a new vision and changed perspective. To meet this challenge, he said, it is necessary to provide the basic facilities to all sections including economically weaker sections and housing is one such requisite facility. Regarding prefab technology he said that this is a new construction technology introduced by DDA for the first time in Delhi and that it is an efficient technology resulting in speedy and environment friendly construction. He hoped that DDA would be able to meet its target of building 1 lakh flats for economically weaker sections. Delhi according to him has changed considerably since the inception of DDA and thus DDA should also work with renewed vision with the objective to serve Delhities in a better fashion. Regarding Master Plan he said that such plans should be made keeping in view the ground realities, needs of the future and also participation of the people. The Master Plan of Delhi 2021 is being reviewed to improve the shortcomings and keeping in view the future growth.

Kumari Selja speaking on the occasion emphasized the need for peoples participation and inclusion of ground realities in planning process. Provision be made for housing facility for economically weaker sections of the society and also to enable the poor to live in good environment with dignity and gracefulness. She informed that her Ministry has sanctioned about 74000 flats for EWS under JNNURM and that the Rajiv Awas Yojna is also aimed to make India slum free. She also emphasized the importance of in-situ rehabilitation. According to her there are 325 slum clusters on DDA land and that these slums have come up because the needs of poor and downtrodden were not recognized. She said, though Delhi’s population is about 1 percent of total population of India and Delhi contributes about 3 percent towards GDP of the country and we alsotalk about inclusive growth but the same is not reflected in our planning process. She expressed her happiness and appreciated the design and plan of EWS flats inaugurated.

Shri Mahabal Mishra, MP thanked DDA for various development works undertaken in West Delhi, providing Metro connectivity to Dwarka etc. He demanded construction of bypass road connecting Chhawla to Rohtak Road via Najafgarh drain, Kakrola and Keshopur Depot and also for construction of peripheral roads in Dwarka. Sh.Sumesh Shokeen, MLA expressed happiness and thanked DDA for construction of a complete housing block inclusive of all required facilities at one place for economically weaker section of the society.

Shri G.S.Patnaik, Vice Chairman, DDA in his welcome address said that DDA is committed for providing houses to various sections of the society to ensure conducive living environment for its occupants. In order to achieve its aim DDA has taken up construction of EWS and LIG flats in a big way. The work of EWS houses at Rohini, Dwarka and Narela by using prefab technology has already started at site. He informed that under EWS housing 11060 houses in Rohini, 6580 houses in Narela and 2400 houses in Dwarka have been taken up with prefab technology. In these pockets the total number of dwellings units will be 19657 and there will be 21 Anganwadis, 168 shops and 187 community facilities for the convenience of the residents of the block. Provision for sufficient parking space, central park, play ground, fire fighting system will also be made. The construction method and materials are confirming to the requirements of green building, use of timber is completely eliminated and that of scarce commodities reduced substantially. Fly ash is used to the maximum possible extent. Use of factory produce prefab components ensured dimensional accuracy, energy saving and lesser pollution. All approvals have been obtained, structural proof checking has been got done by IIT, Roorkee. Material testing laboratories have also been set up at all casting yards. For third party quality assurance M/s RITES have been appointed.

Under their leadership our state has achieved tremendous heights. As far as the basic infrastructure is concerned, the roads of our state are far better than that of Delhi.

Ans. We have recently launched “Aao Bihar” (Come to Bihar) scheme, under this umbrella the Govt. of Bihar offered to encourage Industrial units and Technology Education Institutions. डी डी ए को एक की जगह दो लाख फ्लेटों का प्रावधान करना चाहिए: कमल नाथ

केन्द्रीय विकास मंत्री कमल नाथ ने डी डी ए द्वारा द्वारका क्षेत्र के सैक्टर 23, पॉकेट 8 मे गरीबों के लिए निर्मित किए जाने वाले ई डब्लू एस श्रेणी स्कीम के तहत नमूना फ्लेटों का उदघाटन किया। इस अवसर पर श्री कमल नाथ ने अपने सम्बोधन मे कहा कि डी डी ए को एक की जगह दो लाख फ्लेटों का प्रावधान करना चाहिए। केन्द्रीय अवास मंत्री कुमारी शैलजा ने जन समूह को संबोधित करते हुए सुश्री सोनिया गांधी एवं प्रधानमंत्री डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह की तारीफ की। साथ ही राजीव अवास योजना को भी खुलासा किया। क्षेत्रीय सांसद श्री महाबल मिश्रा ने भी अपने क्षेत्र की सड़कों के सुधार की मांग मंत्री महोदय के समक्ष रखी। गौरतलब है कि डी डी ए ने अभी तक भी इस योजना के तहत फ्लेटों की कीमतों का कोई ब्यौरा नहीं दिया है।

The Preliminary for `Recess 2011’ was held at SVIS auditorium and gave the musicians the much coveted entry to the finals. 244 schools from all over the nation participated in the initial competition and only ten best could make it to the finals.

The lead singers Soham Ray, Pranav Suri & Niharika Sharma set the rhythm for the instrumentalists to belt out the symphony. The diminuendo rose to a crescendo. Shaunak, Devvrat, Sanyam, Ramit, Satwik and Rhea added to the magic through their accompaniment on keyboard, drums and guitar. The group was the only one to get a standing ovation from the judges and audience.

The youngest performers in the finals finally outdid their contemporaries to the bag the coveted RECESS 2011 Trophy. The icing on the cake was the double win of the Best Message Trophy as well as Rhea and Shaunaq exhorted one and all to manifest the inherent goodness in their hearts.

With this win Sri Venkateshwarites were promised an opportunity to cut an album with the famous playback singer Mohit Chauhan of the movie ‘Rockstar’ fame & got an opportunity to meet the famous Indian band Parikrama , plus a direct entry to Recess-2012 to be held at United Kingdom.

Childreach International India also launched their innovative programme on the occasion of Recess 2011, “Ek Din Swadeshi”- India meets Bharat, which aims to build a generation of socially responsible and sensitized individuals. Nine students from school were the first ones to embark on this journey later in the next month.
