The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) along with Directorate of Education had launched a campaign in the government and private schools of Delhi to make students aware about legal issues. This year the Mass Legal Literacy Campaign was organized from 1st May-8th May.
N. K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka also organised this campaign in the school premises under the guidance of DSLSA and Respected Principal Dr. Mrs. Rajee N. kumar The campaign began with the arrival of Sh. Puneet Nagpal Ld. MM (Metropolitan Magistrate), he conducted the workshop for the students of class IX followed by Mrs. Niyay Bindu Ld. MM. She interacted with the students of class X. During the campaign, the students were made aware about various socio-legal issues such as gender inequalities, sexual offences, teenage pregnancy, drugs substance abuse, juvenile justice, traffic rules violation, fundamental rights, fundamental duties and POCSO Act. Students were made to sit in groups of 5 each and were provided with the questionnaire which enabled the students to introspect their knowledge regarding sexual abuse, traffic rules, their responsibilities towards nation etc. The judges interacted with the students on the above discussed topics, various queries were also taken from the students and most of them were well answered by judges to make students more aware about legal prospective. The objective of this campaign was also to instill respect of law among students. Students gained lot from these legal classes, campaign was successfully conducted.
