"Naari tujhe Salam" an award ceremony for appreciation of women initiatives from all over the India facilated and honoured Dr. Amit kaur Puri for her dedication towards environment, education and empowerment at hotel Holiday Inn on 14th April 2017 at Jaipur. 111wimen from all over the India were awarded for their respective contribution to the nation.
There she witnessed many empowered women and took many untold, unsaid stories of so many successful ladies back to Delhi. She fearlessly researched about the impact of educational policies on social, economic and health status of women on Mewat region in Haryana which is considered crime prone area as far as women security is concerned. It was her three years of non stop hard work which she captured in the form of documentary film entitled "Mewat--the region without reason". Her mission is to provide respect to rural as well as urban women of India. She says "Soo Kyu Manda Aakiye Jit Jaane Rajan" means women who give birth to saints, warriors and kings should be highly respected and never get insulted".
