Sree Ayyappa Sewa Samithi, Dwarka Sub city, has celebrated its 06th AYYAPPA POOJA on 19th November 2016 at Dushera Ground, Sector 11, New Delhi 75. The samithi, started in the year 2011, is a registered cultural/spiritual Organization which inter-alia undertake social responsibilities and other humanitarian services.
The program started with Ganapathi Homam at 5.00 a. m followed by special poojas. Breakfast was distributed to all devotees. Bhajan recited by Sri Vighneswara Bhajana Mandali, Thiruvalla transformed the venue in to spiritual heaven with the participation of devotees. Annadanam (Bhandara) was arranged for all devotees in the form of traditional sadya, served in plantain leaves, during lunch time followed by Poor Feeding.
The evening session started at 4.00 PM with traditional colourful Procession, from the Pooja venue to the accompaniment of Caparisoned Elephant, Thalapoli, Ammankudam and Chendamelam. The highlight of the evening was the Dance Drama “Kaliyugavaradan Sree Ayyappan” choreographed by Guru Balakrishna Marar, Krishnapriya Natyalayam, New Delhi. Laghu Bakshanams was served to all devotees on conclusion of the program. Around 1500 devotees from all over NCT were gathered at the venue to obtain blessings of Lord Ayyappa. The celebrations came to an end at 10.00 PM.
