The workshop was highly enlightening and engrossing as Ms. Beth discussed the various assessment tools and how the educators could make them more valid, fair, appropriate and accurate. In an interactive session, the 22 educators were split into groups as they learnt how to make a good assessment tool and the rationale behind it.
An English teacher who attended the workshop praised the initiative by the British council and SVIS for hosting it as she and her colleagues clarified their doubts regarding the assessment writing and review process. Ms. Beth allowed the creative juices to flow as the teachers framed their own tests in groups ensued by a healthy discussion wherein the other groups reviewed and rated the tests.
All in all, it was an enriching afternoon with all educators going back with enhanced and improved assessing skills which would in turn make the teaching process more valid and fair for the learners.
