The Indian Heights School celebrated TEACHER’S DAY


The Indian Heights School, sector 23, Dwarka celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and aplomb on September 7, 2015. To honour the teachers who have been instrumental in shaping their lives, the students from classes VI-XII put up a spectacular show for the occasion in the school-auditorium. The program started with the lighting of the lamp followed by a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan- a philosopher, scholar, teacher and former President of India. The passed out students of class XII, batch 2014, were also attended the program and shared their unforgettable memories associated with the school and teachers. The Principal in her speech spoke about the role of the teachers as Nation Builders and the challenges that lie before them, she further added that the best tribute students can pay to their teachers is through character building and by carrying forth the values ahead as a legacy. The gala program presented by the students showcased their talent as they performed on scintillating music along with vibrating dances. The students from the senior wing gave a presentation on the song “To Sir with Love”. The enthusiastic students from classes VI to VIII enacted different classroom situations which was applauded and cheered by everyone present. Students presented cards & flowers to the teachers as a mark of gratitude and respect. The students who were appointed as Teachers took over the mantle of responsibility by stepping into the shoes of the Teachers and took charge of the school for the day. The Chairperson, Ms. Madhu Gupta and Manager of the School Mr. Puneet Gupta also conveyed their greetings and wishes to the entire teachers fraternity. To conclude, it was a day to remember and cherish with unforgettable memories and sense of pride.
