Prefectorial Investiture Ceremony at Sri VIS


Sri VIS believes in inculcating the importance of perseverance, service and reliability among its pupils. Students of today are the visionaries & torch bearers of tomorrow. Keeping this apparition in mind, Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18A, Dwarka celebrated the Investiture Ceremony for its newly appointed Student Council, for the academic session 2015-16, on July 6, 2015. It was organized with all its grandeur.

The ceremony had the Chairman of the School Mr. Sailender Solanki as the esteemed Chief Guest gracing the occasion. The event began with the lighting of the pious lamp. The school Principal Ms. Nita Arora welcomed the audience and infused the young leaders to uphold the values of Sri VIS while dispensing their duties honestly and impartially. She emphasized upon the importance of discipline and dignity in life. The newly appointed council members were adorned with sashes and badges by Mr. Sailender Solanki and the school Principal. 

With pride and a sense of achievement surging in their hearts, the new Head Boy, Ankur Tiwari and Head Girl Rajeshwari Singh, in their speeches, promised a definite change for a better tomorrow. Donning the mantle of responsibility the office bearers took a pledge to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. The pledge was administered by the school Principal Ms. Nita Arora to the newly elected council.

The outgoing Head Boy Rajat Gaba and Head Girl Urvashi Jain in their valedictory speech urged the new council to believe in them and work hard. Rajat Gaba quoted the words of Dr TP Chia “Hardwork does not necessarily guarantee success but no success is possible without hard work” and handed over the school flag to the new office bearers.

The Chief Guest for the occasion Mr. Sailender Solanki, Chairman, Sri VIS enlightened the budding leaders by citing a few of his personal experiences which were pearls of wisdom for the young leaders. He laid emphasis on how a leader has to be committed, courageous and accountable for every action he performs. He was no doubt a source of inspiration for all the aspirants. It was indeed a defining moment for the entire senate.
