On 10th April, 2015, Venkateshwar International School, Sector – 10, Dwarka, New Delhi proudly collaborated and hosted the flagging off ceremony of ‘
Clean Delhi, Safe Delhi’ campaign of Lion’s Club International. Mr. Robert E. Corlew, Vice President, Lions Club International, his wife Mrs. Diane Corlew, Chairman VIS Sh. Rajpal and a host of members from the Lions Club family attended the grand event which started with a welcome address by the Principal, Mrs. Novita Chopra. The brief cultural programme consisted of a dance based on the theme of environmental degradation and a street play based on female foeticide and gender parity was presented in a beautiful manner.
After this came an effective presentation about the initiatives taken by V.I.S. under the guidance of Director Mrs. Mrinalini Kaura to make the city cleaner, greener and safer and all the accolades won by the school.
This was followed by the flagging off ceremony where school buses carrying the vital message conveyed by this campaign were flagged off by the Lion Club and Management of Venkateshwar International School jointly. The school reiterated its commitment towards making Delhi cleaner, greener and safer.
