I play the character of Bano’s brother Saleem, who believes that the nation should not be divided. I think the reason this show was a huge hit was because each and every character in the show has been very well defined and equal care was taken while casting and that is what did justice to this beautiful story. It’s a story that depicts myriad emotions that people went through then and how love triumphed amongst them all. I wish viewers in India appreciate this show for the pure masterpiece that it is.”

Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam stimulates the heart, stirs the soul, lifts the spirit and pricks the conscience. Love blossomed between Hasan and Bano even as the riots and bloodshed followed the decisive moment in history. Hasan & Bano come together at the wedding of Hassan's aunt Suraiya (played by Saba Qama) with Bano's elder brother Saleem (played by Ahsan Khan). Fawad and Sanam give their most flawless performances as they get into the skin of their characters.

The story traces their journey from the time they fall in love to the time that they get engaged and then, their worlds start to fall apart. The show highlights the fact that life is not always what is seems to be and reality & hope, although entwined, have starkly different outcomes when fate intervenes. The star crossed lovers are separated by the turmoil around them and torn away from the ones they love.
