In the Lok Shivir held at Delhi Development Authority, Vikas Sadan for various properties, like DDA Group Housing Society Flats/ DDA flats, residential/ commercial (including commercial built-up) and industrial, from 17th February, 2014 to 21st February, 2014 around 3500 people seeking conversion of property from leasehold to freehold visited. A total of approximately 2000 Conveyance Deed papers (CD papers) were issued including Conveyance Deeds executed. This was in addition to approximately 1500 visitors who were advised regarding the deficiencies in their papers or regarding requisite documentation etc. The Shivir was a big success.
It may be informed that DDA in order to further facilitate easy and convenient conversion of properties from leasehold to free hold, is going to open four new dedicated Centres in various parts of the city, like at Dwarka, Laxmi Nagar, Vasant Kunj and Rohini. These Centres will be started very soon and will help in further speeding up the process of conversion.
It may also be mentioned that due to a number of cases of conversion pending and a number of grievances in this regard, DDA Vice-Chairman had indicated this as one of his priority areas.
