Sri VIS, Sector -18, Dwarka showcase the talent of Classes I & II students


‘Pinocchio’ – an everlasting make-believe story of a puppet teaching us the values of truth, honesty and courage mesmerized the parents and other dignitaries, who were part of the Annual Cultural Shows of Classes I & II at Sri VIS, Sector-18, Dwarka held on December 7 & 13 respectively in four shows.

The cast, consisting of young students of Classes I & II performed like real professionals. With linguistic, kinesthetic and inter-personal intelligence developed further, they gained everyone’s admiration and evoked awe and respect. The Art Department along with the teachers of Sri VIS Kids brought to life the context and the locales. The Marionette and the Marine Dances were the highlight of the show & the applaud at the end of the show refused to fade away.

The Chief Guest Dr. Promodini Varma, Principal Bharati College, School Chairman Mr Sailander Solanki, Group Capt. Ishwar Singh and the School Principal, Ms Nita Arora gave an auspicious beginning to the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Students anchored the proceedings and invited the Principal to share the vision of the school for class wise Annual Cultural Days.

The Classes I & II teachers and the Performing Arts Department under the guidance of Ms Shama Kapoor- Headmistress SVIS Kids & Ms Nita Arora, the School Principal made the event a highly memorable one.

Dr. Promodini Varma, Principal Bharati College compared the show to a modern contemporary drama and felt that the young performers exhibited maturity beyond their years and the team of teachers at Sri VIS deserve Kudos for giving the children a platform where in not only theatre happened but children mastered the language, understood the culture of Italy and imbibed many golden values needed for a peaceful existence.

Parents and grandparents were amazed to see the performance & felt captivated. They gave a standing ovation to Ms Shama kapoor, HM and her team. Chairman Mr Sailander Solanki & Gp. Capt. Ishwar Singh, Advisor, Venkateshwar Group of Schools felt that the vision of holding separate cultural shows is paying rich dividends.
