Saving the Twin Water Bodies in Dwarka


At last things have started improving for the twin Water Bodies situated in Pocket-5, Dwarka. In the first week of September the catchment area was cleaned up. Now on October 15, Horticulture Department, DDA has gone for plantation. Nearby Nasirpur village residents have played have played an appreciable role and taken up the cause. According to them them this was a single Water Body spread over an area of around 25 acres. With time and development, it has become twin water body. They also want it back in its old form, where the Water Body was fully surrounded by varieties of trees and a good habitat for species of birds. It was really a happy moment for the villagers and their expectation is running high in restoring and bringing it back in its original form. They are always ready to cooperate and preserving this age old Water Body.
