The 3rd Annual General Body Meeting of Sr. Citizen Association, Dwarka was held on 16th Oct, 2013 in Govindam Banquet Hall near Gokul Garden, Sec-7. The agenda for this meeting was circulated already to over 1500 members of the Association, spread all over Dwarka. The meeting was well attended by over 220 members and presided over by its Patron-in-Chief Shri S.P Roy.

Before the meeting formally started, condolences were offered to those members who passed away since last such meeting. The President of Association, Shri Balbir Singh Yadav welcomed all those present after which Shri S.P Rastogi conducted the proceedings.
From amongst the members, Shri L.J Giani sang devotional song "Aye Malik Tere Bande Hum" while Shri S.R Jagiani spoke on importance of Laughter and Shri S.S Goyal regaled the crowd with his witty anecdotes.
Shri S.P Rastogi welcomed all the members and informed the Agenda for the meeting. He, alongwith the Treasurer Shri P.P Bagga, presented the statement of accounts and Balance Sheet cum Audit Report fr the Year 2012-13, as certified by qualified Chartered Accountant.
Shri. S. S. Dogra, Editor-Dwarka Parichay newspaper informed gathering about the use & importance of Internet in the life. He discussed about the easy and fast way of communication through e-mail, SMS, Blog, website etc. He offered to arrange introduction classes for members of Sr. Citizen Dwarka who wish to be aware about the use of Internet. This will develop confidence among members & they can easily be communicated about any event in future.
It was stated that the Association was following a policy of keeping all the life membership fee (Rs. 100/- earlier and lately increased to Rs. 200/-) as Fixed Deposit Reserves and running the expenses out of Donation/ Special Contribution received. The Accounts/ Audit Report was adopted unanimously by the house.
Later Shri Rastogi presented the Activity Report for the year 2012-13 which included:
*Meeting the Chief Minister to propose a Model Senior Citizen Center in Dwarka as per International Standards
*Meeting Prof Kiran Walia, Ministry of Social Welfare- Delhi Govt for release o grant for the Association
*Participating in India Gate and Helpage India , declaration of World Elders Day
*Participating in Helpage India Programs/ Seminars for r. Citizen community etc.
*The Association has been assured by South Delhi Municipal Corporation to be provided facilities in newly inaugurated Community Center in different parts of Dwarka and also in SDMC park in Sector 6 for Recreation Center.
Second part of the meeting was holding of election for the governing body of the Association for which Dr (Major) J.C Vashishtha had been appointed as Election Officer. Shri Yadav, President introduced the Election Officer to the gathering and outlined the need of dedication and service to the society by the candidates. Dr. Vashishtha conducted the election very smoothly and finally the following persons were announced as elected unopposed:

Vice-President: Shri Bhagwan Singh
General Secretory: Shri S.P Rastogi
Joint Secretory: Shri P.S Bhardwaj
Treasurer: Shri A.C Kashyap
Executive Member: Smt. Sadhna Sharma, Smt. Daya Rani, Shri M.C Sharma, Shri Sanjit Singh, G.R Bains and Shri Joginder Kapoor
The meeting ended with vote of thanks and members were offered Tea and Snacks.
