The Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka for the academic session 2013-2014 was held on July 6, 2013. Mr. S.S. Dogra, Managing Editor – Dwarka Parichay & Founder Chairman – Society for Creatives was a special guest. The School Principal pinned the badges and administered the prefectorial oath of office.
The Head Boy Shaunaq Narindra and the Head Girl Kanika Yadav then acknowledged their charter of duties, promising to give their best. The School Song sung in unison by the Council Members clearly indicated their pride in being a part of this institution and reiterated their commitment to strive for excellence.
Mr. Dogra congratulated the student council and urged them to perform their duties with dedication and devotion. The School Principal Ms Nita Arora expressed her pleasure on seeing the Council members assume their charge. Her words further instilled in the newly elected Prefectorial Board a new found confidence that would help them to reach higher echelons. She exhorted them to shoulder responsibilities that lay ahead diligently. Motivating them to become role models, she infused in them the spirit to create a positive influence with their service as leaders. The students were also reminded that as role models, they will be observed, criticized, emulated and also idolized.
The event concluded with the National Anthem once again bringing in pride not only in the newly elected Council Members but each SriVenkateshwarite.
