Three day International conference on Knee & Shoulder surgery in Dwarka.


More than 600 orthopaedic surgeons, allied health personal, residents, fellows and physical therapists from India and abroad will take part in a three day international symposium on current concepts knee and shoulder surgery, joint replacement and orthopaedic sports medicine to begin in capital from February 22-24, 2013.

The Symposium is being organised by the International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (ISKSAA) in league with Bensups hospital and Cygnus Super Specialty Centre, Dwarka, Delhi for the first time in India.

“The symposium with a theme ‘See them do it and do it yourself” to be attended by well-known orthopaedic surgeons from Australia, UK, France, New Zealand, and Korea will be showcasing newest operative techniques through 30 live surgeries of knee ,shoulder and joint replacement highlighting technical pearls and pitfalls”said Dr Pushpinder Bajaj, Director of the symposium.

“The Scientific Programme during the symposium will focus on evidence based medicine, new surgical developments and promising basic sciences. The programme will include instructional courses, hands on surgical demonstrations, debates, symposia, product workshops and Live surgeries being the main forte .The symposium will help in advance the worldwide exchange and dissemination of education, research and patient care in arthroscopy, knee surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine”. Said Dr Pradeep Sharma, director, Joint replacement surgery at Bensups hospital and Cygnus Super Specialty Centre, Dwarka.

“During the conference the latest techniques of joint replacement like minimal invasive joint replacement surgery and customised joint replacement will be deliberated during the conference with eminent faculty. It's a boon for the people of Delhi that theses techniques are already being practiced at this hospital.”said Dr Sharma
