Candle March for Damini in Dwarka.


30th December, 2012 led a candlelight march in support of the victim of the brutal gang rape in Delhi on December 16th. Residents of Kargil & Akshardham Apartment, Dwarka were joined by hundreds of residents from other parts of the sub city.

Few ladies in the march say,” It is sad that rapists exist, but we think severe punishment should be given to the rapists. So that they should not dare to do this evil.”

The incident which took place in Delhi sparked a nationwide outrage, it was an eye-opener to how vulnerable woman really are in big cities.



The march started from the Akshardham gate near the Amrahie Village and went on toward the Cremation Ground, sector-24, Dwarka where Damini was cremated today morning. The initiative was taken by Sukhvinder Kaur and Jai Bhagwan Kataria.
