ANHLGT celebrated Independence Day from July to August. 2 nd july cleanliness public meeting at sheetal vihar, sector-23 Rajesh Gahlot and MCD officials where there. Garbage removal and sweeping complaints. He said the situation will improve very soon.
Apart from this as part of Independence Day celebrations ANHLGT organized various events throughout dwarka. Following events were held:
Police-public meeting – (Held at Shivam apartments sector-12 on 8th July 2012 attended by Additional CP Anil Ohja, additional DCP Pankaj Singh , ACP Samey Singh Meena, Shashi Tomar Muncipal councilor). Meeting was attended by around 500 residents including senior citizens and ladies from all over Dwarka . Issues related to law and order were discussed in detail
Medical camps:
General Medical camp Held at Millenium apartments sector-9 on 15th July 2012 organised by ANHLGT and Colmbia Asia
Eye camp Held at Air force and Naval society sector – 7 on 29th July 2012
Environment awareness camp: Held at Abhyan apartment sector-12 on 21st July 2012.- Topics discussed where re-use of BIO waste and vermi composition. Many ladies participated in this event and made it successful.
Tree planting – The Program was organized at Sector 10 park no.4 on 6th August 2012 in front of Saraswati Model School. Students from saraswati Model school and Indraprastha school participated in the event along with the DDA horticulture department.
The Program was also organized at Sector 12 behind Abhyan appartment on 8th August 2012 by ANHLGT. Students from Ardash World School, Sam International School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Dwarka International School Participated in this event along with the DDA horticulture department.
Sports Meet : Following sports events were held for Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Foot Ball, Lawn Tennis and Table Tennis for various age groups.
A special Ladies cricket match was organized for ladies for the peace and happiness of families to create solidarity and friendship. There were two teams namely Jasmine and Rose from New Millenium Appts., Sec-23. Jasmine team were winners.
