Vandana International School Celebrated Annual Day

9th February, 2012. Vandana International School celebrated Annual Day & Prize Distribution function at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi with great pomp and show. After welcome ceremony of the distinguished guests, the programme start with lighting of the lamp by Prof.Dilip K.Bandyopadhyay-Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University-Chief Guest, Sh.Deepak Mishra-IPS-Special Commissioner of Police, Padamshri Mahabali Satpal-Additional Director of Education(Sports), Dr.V.K.Williams-Director, Mount Carmel School, Dwarka, Mrs. Veena Sehrawat-Chairperson, L.K.International School, Bawana, Mrs.Vandana Tandon-Manager, Sh.V.P.Tandon-Chairman, Pir Baba Hasan Ali Shah and Dr.R.K.Tandon. The school students of Vandana Groups of Schools presented different cultural programmes like Orchestra, colourful Shiv Stuti with religious sentiments, Wizard of the ooz-a ballet by Kindergarten and primary students. Annual Report of the school was also presented on the occasion.

On this occasion, Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay was conferred with O.P.Tandon Memorial Award for outstanding contribution in the field of education for the year 2010-2011 & for his distinguished services rendered in the field of education. Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay received a Cheque of Rs.51,000/- a citation in the form of O.P.Tandon Memorial Award.

Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay appreciated the organizer for their special contribution in the field of education and continuous support and shaping the children into good citizen for the development of nation building.


While addressing the students & parents on the occasion, Padamshree Mahabali Satpal says that students should respect their mother, father and their teachers, that is the only way to achieve the success in life. Mr.Dharam Dev Solanki-M.L.A. was also present on the occasion.


Lakshya-the School Magazine was also released by the Chief Guest. Laser show on the success story of the Vandana Group of school was the major attraction the annual function.

Aaj ka Abhimanyu-a ballet by senior students, was really impressed one and all present in the function. Actually, this play cum ballet-cum-play raised several issues related to work pressure on students, high expectation of parents from their wards, influence of peer group, too much desire by teachers from the students etc.

The meritorious students of the school were felicitated with glittering trophies for their outstanding performance in different fields such as study, sports, cultural, attendance, etc.
