A meeting of the India Against Corruption was held today under the guidance of Shri Yashwant Prakash and next course of action was decided. It was decided to nominate co-ordinators for contacting and uniting the volunteers sectorwise. The office for taking vow against corruption i.e. no to bribe taking or giving will be decided shortly so that the volunteers can approach the staff of that office for taking vow against bribe. For this, four offices were suggested and they were DDA, PF, MCD at Kakrola and the Regional Transport Authority, Janakpuri.
It was also informed that such meeting will continue to be held on every Saturday at 5.00 p.m. at terrace 330, Vardhman Crown Mall in Sector 19. The volunteers should attend the meeting. However, in case of no meeting on any Saturday, it will be informed through SMS/ email.
Shri M K Gupta highlighted the importance of RTI and urged the participants to use that in case of delay or denial of a legitimate work. He also informed about the programme on RTI on 13th Nov (Sunday) at Gokul Garden which will be attended by Shri Shailesh Gandhi, Information Commissioner.
