Ahead of the festive season, silk and cotton fabric lovers can now have a choice to buy from a wide range of fine and famed-exquisite handlooms from across the country at the Indian Textile Fair inaugurated on Monday in the capital.
The hand produced cotton and silk fabrics are available at a very nominal price as well as on discount, providing a marketing platform under the banner of Indian Textile fair to the weavers and artisians working in the handloom sector.
One of the major highlights of the exhibition is participation of Bomkai, Bandhej, Baluchari, Chinto, Mani, Chanderi, Ghathjora, Godawal, Kanjivarom, Moonga silk, Maheshwari, Pochampally, Patola printed silk saree, Paithani, Sombhalpuri, Tussar, Tribal work, Tangail all the woven cloths which has already attracted most of the visitors.
The exhibition started with a positive note leading the industry on the path of newer technological innovations. It has also became an ideal place for home textile and garment manufacturers to examine raw materials and seal existing and new deals by comparing cost and quality and contrast.
