ANHLGT (Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-Together), along with resident’s of Dwarka, is holding an annual celebration of Independence Day on Saturday, August 27th. This event will include the prize distribution ceremony for ANHLGT’s Annual Independence Day Sports & Games Fest, in which over 500 ladies, children, and other residents from various sectors in Dwarka participated. This year’s events fell into three categories: ladies’ games, children’s games, and sports (table tennis, badminton, football, cricket, basketball, lawn tennis, etc.)
In the past few months, ANHLGT has been proud to announce success in its campaign for children’s playgrounds in Dwarka. With the assistance of Shri Rajesh Gahlot, Municipal Councillor, DDA Board Member, & Ex-Deputy Mayor, Delhi, and other senior members of the DDA, approval has been granted for a multi-purpose playground to be created in every single sector of Dwarka. The inauguration of playgrounds in Sectors 22 and 23 of Dwarka will take place at the August 27th event.
The event will be on 27th August 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the park behind New Kanchanjunga and New Millenium Apartments in Sector 23. It will feature several cultural performances by residents and schools students, including dandiya, kathak, santoor, folk dance, and singing.
