Investiture Ceremony at S.V.I.S

On 7th July'10, Sri Venkateshwar International School organised the Investiture Ceremony for the recently selected team of School Prefects.

 The Ceremony began with the traditional lightning of the lamp followed by the Ganesh Vandana. 

The outgoing Head Boy Abhimanyu Sharma handed over the baton of responsibilities to the newly elected Head Boy Shaunaq Narindra and Head Girl Amanya Shukla.  The ceremonial pinning of badges and handing over of sashes was solemnised by the Chief Guest Prof. O.P. Sharma, Director/Principal, G.B. Pant Govt. College of Engineering, Principal Ms. Nita Arora, Coordinator Ms. Malini Pandey and the respective House-Incharges.
 The newly elected office bearers were brimming with confidence. Donning the mantle of responsibility, they pledged to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school.  Ms. Nita Arora Principal S.V.I.S. motivated the Student Council by her generous words of wisdom. She said that today's group photograph of 78 Prefects would one day be shared by a future Prime Minster or a CEO as`My first stint at leadership' on a social networking site.   The parents chorused, `Amen' in their hearts!!!


Sharing his thoughts the Chief Guest Dr. O.P. Sharma talked about his views on leadership and inspired them to lead a life of their dreams.

The ceremony was graced by the proud parents of young leaders. They were moved to see their young one taking over newer responsibilities and challenges with elan. 

The somber ceremony finally concluded with the singing of the school song.  The victorious group of young Venkateshwarites held their head up high, as they belong to a place where dreams do come true.
