No street lights in Service Lane of Sector -6, Dwarka

Dear Mr. Shokeen,

Subject: Street lights in our Service Lane
Sector -6, Plot nos – 30 to 35, Dwarka (opp to Maxfort School)

To introduce myself, I am resident of Dwarka and Governing Body member of Dwarka Forum (Regd). I would like to draw your attention to the above subject.

As mentioned above our service lane does not have street lights. Not even the light poles. The service lane has been in dark for the last so many years. We have been trying to address this issue with various authorities including DDA and MCD but so far we have been unable to get this issue resolved. No one seems to know who is responsible for installation of street lights and each one is pointing fingers at one another.

Finally, after zillions of calls, we are now informed that this is under your preview and domain. The procedure informed to us by the authorities is that we have to write to you requesting for installation of street lights in our service lane and intern you would instruct these authorities for giving you a fee quote and upon receipt you would be release the funds for the same. I hope my understanding is correct.

Given this background, may I request you to please initiate the process for installing street lights in our service lane.

We would also suggest other roads service lanes where the street lights are not available in Dwarka Sub-City be identified through a survey. We would be happy to assist if any help required in this regard.

We would appreciate if we you can look into this matter and expedite the process at the earliest. We only hope that our service lane will see some light in time for Diwali celebrations.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Sudha
(Member – Dwarka Forum)
