Inter School Essay Competition on Road Safety for Dwarka Schools

Karan Sharma Social Welfare Society in collaboration with Paramount International School,
Dwarka
organized a Inter School Essay Competition on Road Safety for Dwarka Schools.
The Topics for the competition were
(Class VI to VIII) "Children and Road Accidents"
(Class IX to XII) "Drunken Driving a Curse"
Sh. Ramesh Kumar Kaushik (ACP/TRAFFIC (RSC)) was the judge and the Chief Guest. Mr. Kuldeep Rai Talwar a renowned educationist was also the special guest at the function.
Around 60 students of Dwarka schools participated in the final competition. Out of which 6 were selected for the Ist IInd and IIIrd position for both the categories.
Winners of the Competition
Junior Category
Ist Prize – Isha - Mount Carmel School – VIII
IInd Prize – Bikram Jeet Singh - Paramount School – VI
IIIrd Prize – Kamakshi Raina – Bal Bharati School - VII
Senior Category
Ist Prize – Rishabh Bhattacharya – Basava International - XI
IInd Prize – Anjum – Vandana International – IX
IIIrd Prize – Riyanka – Delhi English Academy – IX
All the selected participants got participation certificate.
The Award Ceremony started with the warm welcome by the Coordinator Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur and the Principal of Paramount International School Mrs. Saroha. Mr. Ramesh Kaushik (ACP/TRAFFIC (RSC)) in his speech mentioned that these kinds of activities should be done very often to encourage children to know more about how to be safe and secured on the roads. They also asked schools to contact Road Safety Cell to ask them to conduct workshops on Road Safety.
Mr. Talwar mentioned that it is very essential to have the basic discipline life, which encourages us to do every thing in a defined way. He also mentioned that teachers play an important role in making their student’s life.
Mrs. Kavita Sharma, a motivator, behaivorial trainer and President of Karan Sharma Social Welfare Society encouraged students to participate more and more in Road Safety Activities and also requested schools to let students participate in these activities. She said that it is essential to also teach students about Importance of Life, as they are our future.
She also sent the message to all the schools to contact her for workshops on Road Safety and Importance of Life. She also thanked Mr. Kaushik, Mr. Talwar and Paramount International School for their support and cooperation.
