14 Plots Auctioned at Dwarka

The Delhi Development Authority has raked in Rs.1,696.195 crores since Monday by auctioning 52 commercial plots at Dwarka, Rohini, Mukherjee Nagar, Vasant Kunj, Zamrudpur and Kondli (Gharoli) in the Capital. A total of 65 plots were on offer and the combined reserve price was fixed at Rs.692.547 crores.

While on Monday the DDA had offered 21 commercial plots for auction and successful bids were made for 16 of them, on the second day 20 of the 22 plots on offer were auctioned. On Wednesday, the DDA auctioned 22 plots.

According to a DDA spokesperson, 14 plots in Dwarka ranging between 183.6 sq. m. and 11,619 sq. m. were auctioned on Monday. One plot each in Sector-22 Rohini measuring 1,238.4 sq. m. and another in Mukherjee Nagar of 150 sq. m. were also auctioned the same day.

The next day, 17 plots at Sector-20 Dwarka, one at Vikaspuri and two in local shopping complex, Phase-2, in Bodela were auctioned. The biggest plot measuring 13,628 sq. m. was located in A-Block, Vikaspuri, while two smallest plots measuring 85 sq. m. were located in Dwarka.

Three plots each at Janakpuri and Zamrudpur, two plots each at Vasant Kunj, Dwarka Sector-4 and 12 plots at Kondli (Gharoli) were auctioned on Wednesday. The plot sizes ranged between 2,885 sq. m. and 12.50 sq. m.

The Authority garnered an impressive Rs.921.314 crores against a reserve price of Rs.394 crores on Monday. Reliance Industries Limited, through its subsidiary, made the highest bid buying out several plots in Dwarka. The biggest plot measuring 11,619 sq. m. at Dwarka was bought for Rs. 266.01 crores against the reserve price of Rs.104.11 crores. On Tuesday, the highest bid for the biggest plot measuring 13,628 sq. m. in A-Block of Vikaspuri fetched DDA Rs.280.11 crores against the reserve price of Rs.96.71 crores. (Source: The Hindu)
